Get the full recipe at: https://recipecenter.stopandshop.com/... 0:00 [Music] 0:02 hey my name is Barrett I'm a food 0:04 stylist here in New York City and today 0:06 we're working with Savory to make 0:07 gingerbread houses but these gingerbread 0:10 houses are made of graham crackers so 0:12 there is no baking involved and we can 0:14 go straight to the most fun part which 0:16 is decorating 0:19 so this is a gingerbread house that I 0:21 actually made yesterday I've let it sit 0:24 overnight so that all of the icing can 0:27 Harden enough so that we can handle it 0:30 and decorate it this one will be fully 0:32 edible but now I'm going to show you a 0:34 food stylist hack that I use all the 0:37 time that's going to make this so much 0:38 faster and easier so you can get 0:40 straight to the fun part which is 0:41 decorating and that is using hot glue 0:43 we're going to do the same method but 0:46 it's going to take minutes instead of 0:47 hours it's going to make it an edible 0:49 but who really eats a gingerbread house 0:51 anyway 0:52 so first I'm going to make my base I'm 0:54 going to take two crackers I'm going to 0:56 put a line of hot glue down the edge and 1:00 I'm just holding it up until the glue 1:02 sets a little bit just so I don't glue 1:04 it down to my parchment I am doing it on 1:06 parchment so just in case anything does 1:08 it here it'll be easy to remove now 1:10 we're going to put on our walls and it's 1:13 pretty quick and easy do the other side 1:16 I love using these graham crackers it's 1:18 so much easier than baking gingerbread 1:20 cookies then cutting them into the right 1:22 shapes and they break so now I'm going 1:25 to stick on the side walls I'm going to 1:27 put a line of glue down these 1:30 and don't worry about the glue because 1:32 we're actually just going to go back and 1:34 we're going to cover it all with icing 1:36 so no one will ever know your trick 1:39 again all right that we're halfway there 1:43 guys now we're gonna put a floor across 1:46 here so that we'll have something to put 1:49 our roof on like I said don't worry too 1:51 much if there's gaps We're Gonna Fill 1:53 all that in with candy and candy canes 1:56 and pretzels and icing so now I'm going 1:59 to put my roof on I'm just gonna take 2:01 two full sheets of crackers and we're 2:04 gonna catch them just like that 2:08 a little bit of glue on each side 2:11 and a little bit glue right here to glue 2:14 the two together at the peak 2:17 all right let's do it again for the back 2:23 all right all right now I'm going to put 2:25 on our side walls on our roof I'm just 2:28 going to kind of lay this here and look 2:30 where I need to cut it I'm just gonna 2:32 make a little score now we're going to 2:35 cut that same angle that I just scored 2:38 again put very very very little pressure 2:41 if any just kind of let the knife do the 2:44 work 2:45 there we go again 2:48 I'm actually going to use this as a 2:50 template for my other side because I 2:52 know it's going to be the same thing 2:56 all right I'm going to glue these guys 2:58 on now 3:00 on 3:03 [Music] 3:12 all right we have just made the shell of 3:16 our gingerbread house and it is ready to 3:19 decorate we're going to cover all these 3:21 seams with icing so you won't even know 3:24 that it was put together with hot glue 3:25 just don't eat it so here's another hack 3:28 to keep your decorating neat and 3:31 organized use a muffin tin there's a ton 3:34 of little things that you might want to 3:36 use you might want to have a variety 3:38 it's great for the kids to just come in 3:40 and grab it's much better than having a 3:42 million bags of things all over the 3:43 place this keeps it all nice and tight 3:46 for you and just have fun with it 3:50 so once you've finished decorating your 3:52 house this is a really fun and easy way 3:54 to complete the scene just take a normal 3:57 sugar cone and some green icing and we 4:01 are going to just pipe little dots onto 4:04 it so you are making a Christmas tree 4:07 for your yard 4:09 make sure you use a star tip for this 4:12 because it's going to give you the best 4:14 realistic looking foliage on your tree 4:17 right before I set it down I like to 4:21 take some holiday non-brials and 4:24 decorate my treat 4:26 it looks like little Christmas balls on 4:28 your tree you can just drop them on make 4:30 sure you do this when it's still wet 4:33 because they won't stick if not 4:36 cute that is then we're just going to 4:39 set it down where we want it take a good 4:41 spot 4:45 there we go there's our little tree 4:48 throw a few more balls on it 4:52 ta 4:54 so cute 4:57 thanks so much for watching for more fun 4:59 recipes check out Savory online and 5:02 happy decorating Stop and Shop actress 2022 • Stop and Shop song name • - advertisement spot 2022
