The commercial is funny and interesting
A typical ad is one in which a bear or some other tundra animal craves an ice-cold Coke and encounters some kind of obstacle in the process. All of these commercials have a happy ending where the main character gets to take a gulp of Coca-Cola and the bears around to help do the same. The ad below, dated 2015, shows a puffin struggling to get a Coke until a helpful bear points out the solution. When you think of soup commercials, you naturally think of the slogan "M'! Mummy! Good!" for Campbell. But one particularly memorable soup ad from 1970 featured musical entertainer and Broadway star Ann Miller tap-dancing over a pitcher of Great American Soups that Heinz competed in. See it in an old Busby Berkeley production, The cost was stated (inflated at the time) to be $154,000.
The commercial is a clever way to showcase the starkist product range

An ongoing advertising campaign throughout the 1970s and 80s promoted the margarine brand with the song "Everything's Better with Blue Bonnet On It." A 1980 special featured Jamie Farr (MASH) and Georgia Engel (The Mary Tyler Moore Show), followed by baseball legends Mickey Mantle and Willie Mays ) tried the tune while wearing the traditional blue turban.
