We’re honored we got to play a part in your journey from a young woman to a strong, confident, and wonderful single mother ❤️ 00:00 I'm a young latina teen mom I have so 00:04 much to offer the world I have so many 00:06 dreams my daughter is another reason for 00:10 me to go after everything I want I grew 00:18 up in a really really small town so most 00:20 of the girls sometimes get into just bad 00:22 stuff so I kind of knew that that was 00:24 something that I didn't really want for 00:26 myself I always just wanted to leave and 00:27 just go to somewhere bigger and on my 00:29 18th birthday I rushed over to a 00:31 computer and I remember applying to 00:33 Sephora they hired me they brought me on 00:34 as a temporary cashier at the time I had 00:37 just got my own apartment 00:38 everything was just coming together and 00:40 then about a month later I found out 00:42 that I was pregnant and then I got 00:44 scared I just felt really like isolated 00:49 and alone since I knew I was gonna be a 00:50 single mom I couldn't confide in my mom 00:52 just because I didn't want to disappoint 00:54 her I didn't want to disappoint my 00:55 family so I knew that I could go to my 00:58 Sephora family and I confided in them I 01:00 spoke to my managers and I just told 01:02 them you guys I'm pregnant I just felt 01:05 like oh my gosh like they're gonna fire 01:08 me what can I possibly offer anymore and 01:11 she was like Lilly you're fine like you 01:12 have me you have Civil War like you're 01:15 fine like we're gonna take care of you 01:16 it was kind of an adult decision but I 01:18 did finally decide that yes I'm gonna 01:20 have a baby 01:21 her name is Mila it means gracious she's 01:24 just a purist little human she loves 01:27 watching me do my makeup every day just 01:29 because she will sit there just rub lip 01:31 gloss on her lips for like 20 minutes so 01:33 every time someone meets her they're 01:34 like oh my gosh she's just you basically 01:36 just a tiny version I've just seen 01:38 myself go from like this 18-year old 01:40 girl who was so scared and alone and 01:43 insecure to like this 22 year old who is 01:45 so confident I've worked my career up 01:48 and follow my dreams I'm a talent 01:50 coordinator I helped with the whole 01:52 onboarding process the training 01:53 education for all employees I am a 01:56 member of the Sephora squad it's been 01:59 really fun it's been really rewarding we 02:01 get to build relationships with 02:02 different brands I would tell my 11 year 02:06 old self that everything's gonna be okay 02:09 she that she's gonna do like amazing 02:15 things and she's gonna teach girls like 02:19 teepee confident and she's gonna share 02:21 her story with people and they're gonna 02:23 feel strong enough to leave certain 02:25 relationships you know really just work 02:29 hard for your child and not feel like 02:30 you need to put everything else on hold 02:32 just focus on your dreams like your 02:34 dreams don't have to stop 02:36 [Music]- advertisement spot 2020
