He originally worked for his father's clothing store in New York, but had a film idea in his head which lasted so long he "couldn't stand it anymore". That inspired him to follow his dream and three years later Universal bought the script and turned it into a 180 million dollar hit. While he was working on the script in LA, Universal gave him a 911 which he drove endlessly through town as he developed his hit movie idea. _ Electricity consumption combined: Taycan 4S: 25,6 - 24,6 kwh/100 km; CO2 emissions combined: 0 g/km 00:06 I'm Russell warts I'm a screenwriter 00:09 living here in LA originally from New 00:11 York I write movies in television 00:13 I got flown out here once by Universal 00:16 Pictures and put up sort of all 00:18 first-class accommodations and they 00:19 rented me a car and it was a Porsche and 00:21 I took a look at it and I thought well I 00:24 must be doing something right they they 00:27 want me to know they care I mean when I 00:29 think of Porsche I think of a car that's 00:30 kind of no-nonsense that's really fast 00:32 and do pretty much whatever you want it 00:34 to do and it's exciting that Porsches is 00:36 bringing out an electric vehicles I know 00:38 a lot of people who drive electric cars 00:39 and a lot of people who want to drive 00:40 electric cars hopefully one day we'll 00:43 all be driving them it's pretty cool the 00:47 way it's integrated all these apps from 00:49 my iPhone I'm driving around all day but 00:51 I'm also talking to people about 00:52 projects talking to agents and producers 00:54 it's just great to have access to all 00:56 that stuff while I'm driving I always 01:00 try to get out of the house when I write 01:01 some of my best work gets done sitting 01:03 alone at a table for two you look around 01:05 and everyone else is doing the same 01:07 thing in this town you never know who's 01:09 creating a masterpiece 01:10 Beverly Hills West Hollywood it's kind 01:13 of the area I've lived in for 12 years 01:14 it's a really great place to live 01:16 you've got everything so many incredible 01:19 homes in LA driving through the hills I 01:22 just love it this is a great car for 01:24 driving on Mulholland especially I mean 01:26 this is a nice beautiful curvy Street 01:28 you have a nice open road ahead of you 01:30 la's a lot of fun to drive 01:33 the thing you notice immediately that 01:35 you're not expecting is how much pickup 01:36 it has it's just you put your foot down 01:38 and it just goes it's really got the 01:41 best of both worlds you get to go as 01:42 fast as you want and it's quite 01:44 uncomfortable it's nice to be able to 01:46 drive around guilt-free and feel like 01:48 you're doing your part for the 01:49 environment I'm really enjoying this 01:52 ride it's we're driving the only portion 01:54 I can in all of LA right now and we turn 01:56 a lot of heads but I have a feeling that 01:58 one day there's gonna be a lot of these 02:00 cars driving around this town everyone's 02:02 gonna want 02:05 [Music] - advertisement spot 2019
