Winter started his surfing journey as a 9-year-old grom, decked head to toe in O'Neill wetsuits and it's great to see him back. As one of Australia's most promising junior surfers, Winter at age 16, has already packed a fair amount into his young years. Acting as an ambassador for the Surfrider Foundation, Waves for Water, Kids Give ambassador, has seen Winter raise both awareness and needed funds. Most give back at the end of their sporting careers, there's not that many that give at the start. Nice deeds aside, we see Winter's surfing and his progression as one of the best talents emerging out of the South Pacific region. We look forward to the road ahead and to a bright future no matter what that brings.
