Discover tips on how to take advantage of his abilities to improve your success on the battlefield. 00:02 Hello, summoners! 00:03 Matthew from the Nintendo Treehouse here 00:05 with some quick tips for the Fire Emblem Heroes game 00:07 Today, we will take a deeper look at the newest Legendary Hero, Leif. 00:11 Leif is playable in the Fire Emblem: Genealogy of the Holy War game 00:16 and stars as the main lord in the Fire Emblem Thracia 776 game 00:20 two games that were only released in Japan on the Super Famicom system. 00:24 Leif's tragic story begins when his royal parents, 00:28 Quan and Ethlyn of Leonster, were killed in the desert 00:31 by the king of their rival country Travant. 00:33 Although his sister Altena was with them and abducted 00:37 by Travant, Leif was safe at home in the care of Finn, their loyal soldier. 00:41 Soon after, Leonster fell under attack by Travant's forces 00:45 and Finn was forced to escape with Leif, Lachesis and her daughter Nanna. 00:50 They travel from town to town, living in hiding 00:52 from an empire actively searching for Leif. 00:55 At the age of 15, Leif decides that the time had come to 00:58 fight back and launched a campaign to reclaim his country 01:01 from the empire that took it from him and his people. 01:04 Let's take a look at his default skills in Fire Emblem Heroes. 01:08 Leif's weapon is Meisterbogen. 01:10 This powerful weapon gives Leif two attacks whether he initiates the attack or not! 01:15 Also, even though Leif's speed is fairly low, 01:18 if he is active in your team and initiates the attack, 01:21 the foe can't perform a follow-up attack! 01:24 His A skill Atk/Res Push 4 complements his weapon well 01:28 as it gives him +7 to both his attack and resistance 01:31 during battle as long as his HP is greater than or equal to 25%. 01:36 This enables him take out many of his targets before they even have a chance to react. 01:41 It's interesting to note that through his royal lineage, 01:44 Leif carries the blood of a great legend in Thracian history, 01:47 Njörun the Crusader. 01:49 Although Leif can't wield the divine weapon of his family, Gáe Bolg, 01:54 the willpower he inherited from Njörun the Crusader is reflected in his special, 01:58 Njörun's Zeal, 01:59 which grants him another action when it triggers. 02:02 This complements Leif's C skill Defense Smoke 02:05 as Leif can lower the defense of foes 02:08 within two spaces of the target by 7 and then quickly follow up 02:12 with another attack while they are at a disadvantage. 02:14 These skills enable Leif to potentially take out 2 foes 02:18 in a single turn without the support of a dancer. 02:20 Plan carefully though because his movement will be restricted 02:23 to one space after the special triggers. 02:26 Lastly, Leif has a B skill called S Drink 02:28 that will refill his HP by 99 at the start of turn 1 02:32 and grants a Special cooldown count -1. 02:35 In Fire Emblem: Thracia 776, characters could get exhausted 02:39 if they were used too often and wouldn't be playable for the next chapter. 02:44 S Drinks in that game gave the characters the strength to fight on through exhaustion 02:48 and in Fire Emblem Heroes, this skill gives Leif the invaluable ability to fight 02:52 on in modes that require many consecutive battles 02:54 like Tempest Trials+ and Chain Challenge! 02:58 Its other benefit of lowering his Special by 1 can give him 03:01 a really good chance to get 4 attacks in the opening turn of combat as shown here. 03:06 For seals, I would suggest any seal that increases Leif's most 03:10 important stat, attack, so that he has a better chance 03:13 to defeat foes with only his initial 2 attacks. 03:16 On the other hand, since there will be many turns which he can act twice, 03:19 I may suggest seals that hurt or debuff a group of enemies 03:23 like Savage Blow or Speed Smoke. 03:25 For his team, I would suggest pairing him up with a strong defensive unit 03:30 like Surtr or Idunn to switch to after he is done attacking 03:33 before the enemy phase begins. 03:36 The rest of the team should support him with dancing 03:38 to give him even more actions a turn, 03:40 healing to keep him healthy during his assaults 03:43 and a strong magic attacker to defeat the high defense units 03:46 that are difficult for Leif to kill himself. 03:50 As you can see, Leif's determination and 03:52 skill set make him a relentless attacker that can continue 03:55 fighting even through modes with multiple maps of combat. 03:59 That's all for today Summoners!
