Members can play, pause and resume watching, all without commercials or commitments. 00:00 Hey guys, I'm Alyson. 00:01 I'm going to transform into 00:02 Renfri from 00:03 The Witcher. 00:07 If you don't know The Witcher, 00:08 where have you been? 00:09 I watched it in one sitting because it was so intense 00:11 and amazing and I loved it so much. 00:16 First, I'm gonna use some beige eye shadow 00:18 slightly darker than my skin tone 00:20 to make some contour. 00:21 I'm gonna try to lift my nose 00:22 by creating a shadow underneath it 00:24 and I'm also gonna make it look rounder 00:25 by making a circle around the tip of my nose. 00:28 I'm also gonna align from my eyebrow down 00:31 the sides of my nose to make it look a little straighter. 00:33 Renfri also has kind of a shadow 00:35 under her brow bone, 00:37 so I'm gonna create one there too. 00:39 And then I'm gonna use a lighter powder to highlight. 00:43 I'm also gonna add a little highlight down 00:44 the center of my nose and I'll blend it in. 00:49 Now, I'm gonna do some shadows 00:51 under my cheekbones. 00:55 I’m gonna blend that in as well. 00:57 I’m also gonna contour around her eyes. 01:00 I'll get more into detail about the eyes later, 01:02 but for now just gonna add some shadows. 01:05 Also gonna add some shadows to my forehead. 01:08 Hers is a bit shorter than mine, 01:09 so I'll shorten it with the wig, 01:11 but for now I'm just gonna make it a little darker. 01:14 And then I blend that in. 01:15 I'm also gonna add some shadows 01:17 to the sides of her mouth. 01:19 It's gonna make them look a little fuller. 01:23 Alright, next I'm gonna do the jawline. 01:25 Her jaw is rounder than mine, 01:27 so I'm going to do that by raising it 01:29 with some more shadow. 01:30 I think that's it for contour for now. 01:32 Next, I'm gonna move on to the eyes. 01:34 She has these really big, beautiful eyes 01:36 with that same darker brown eyeshadow, 01:38 I'm going to apply it to the crease of my eye 01:42 and make my eyelids look more prominent and round. 01:44 I'm gonna blend that in. 01:46 I'm also going to use a liner pencil. 01:50 I'm gonna draw a line under my bottom eyelid 01:53 to make it look puffier. 01:55 Now I'm gonna use a lighter powder 01:57 and highlight the areas that 01:58 I just added shadows to. 02:00 Next, I'm gonna do eyeliner 02:01 even though in the show 02:03 her character doesn't look like it's wearing any makeup, 02:05 but I'm going for like a "no makeup" makeup look, 02:07 so I'll keep it really subtle. 02:09 I'm also gonna add some eyeliner 02:10 to the bottom lashline too. 02:12 Then I'm gonna add a natural beige, 02:14 but shimmery eyeshadow 02:16 over my eyelid to blend in the eyeliner 02:18 and also make it look a little more greasy. 02:22 Hopefully that made my eyes look a little rounder. 02:24 Next, I'm going to move on to eyebrows. 02:27 Eyebrows frame your face, 02:29 so definitely study a character's eyebrows 02:31 and try to get them as close as you can. 02:33 Her eyebrows are very full. 02:36 Next, I'm gonna wipe off my lips, 02:38 make sure they're good for makeup. 02:39 Alright. 02:40 Her lips are slightly fuller on the top 02:43 and shorter on the sides. 02:46 So that's what I'm gonna try to recreate. 02:48 I'm also gonna go over it with a matte liquid lipstick. 02:51 I'm gonna dust over it with a little more foundation 02:53 to make it look a little more natural. 02:56 I think that's it! 03:01 So the next step is, I'm going to put on the wig. 03:03 It's gonna complete the look 03:04 and really tie it all together. 03:09 Alright, next I'm gonna show you 03:10 how I made different pieces of the costume 03:12 to prepare for the premiere. 03:13 I made the brooch using poster board 03:16 and then I added all the little details with puffy paint. 03:19 I let that dry, and I brushed some gold paint on it 03:21 and then I used some black paint 03:22 to make it all look messy and weathered. 03:25 My favorite part about the brooch 03:26 is that her mother gave it to her 03:27 and also, Renfri uses it to kill people. 03:30 Is that too violent? 03:31 That's kind of violent. 03:32 That's why I like it though, 03:33 so don't judge me. 03:35 To make the overskirt, 03:36 it was really hard to find metal trim, 03:39 so, I had to use this twine trim 03:42 that was woven so it had a similar texture. 03:45 I painted it black, 03:46 and then I painted it silver, 03:48 and then I sewed it onto the edges of the skirt. 03:51 I did dark wash the entire costume 03:54 to make it look more weathered and worn. 03:57 And last but not least, the cape. 03:59 Let's do this. 04:12 Thank you guys so much for watching. 04:13 Let me know what you think 04:14 of my costume in the comments, 04:16 and I hope you had fun watching!- advertisement spot 2020
