00:00 How do you feel in a space when...
00:02 you have to be vulnerable?
00:04 'Cause I have issues with vulnerability and I'm a woman.
00:07 I can take that one. Yeah, that one I got.
00:09 I want you both to take it, so you just start, J.J.
00:12 Well, excuse me. I'll start with that one.
00:15 I've realized just being vulnerable in a character
00:18 is easy for me, because I do it in life,
00:20 I'm open and honest, I don't...
00:23 You could judge me, it's fine. You know?
00:26 I'm okay with that, because I know who I am. Right?
00:29 So, the more honest you are with yourself
00:32 about who you are and your flaws, and what shortcomings, and what not...
00:38 being vulnerable is easier.
00:40 That's been my experience.
00:42 That's amazing. Because for me, vulnerability is...
00:45 is... When I feel vulnerable, I feel weak.
00:47 It's like, I cannot be vulnerable, this is so uncomfortable,
00:49 I gotta go out here, I gotta go somewhere else.
00:51 You know, for me, it's always like, I have to be protected.
00:55 I feel most comfortable when I'm strong, when it's not like,
00:59 "I can't tell somebody I need help."
01:00 You know what I mean? Like, me? Hell no.
01:02 I do my own thing, I'm independent.
01:04 You know? And at times, if... I'm learning now
01:07 that it's okay, at times, to be, like...
01:10 "Yes, please."
01:11 You know what that is? That's your ego.
01:13 You think it's ego?
01:14 Yeah, yeah. It's your ego trying to protect itself.
01:16 Ego isn't a bad word. Ego... It's like, we all have an ego.
01:19 Yes.
01:20 It's a matter of having a balanced ego
01:23 or a solid ego. I don't wanna say strong ego, but like--
01:26 -A balance. Just... Yeah. -Yeah.
01:28 When you're able to withdraw from both... Yes.
01:30 I have to agree with you. I never thought about that, that's interesting.
01:32 So I challenge myself
01:34 whenever I feel, let's say,
01:36 when my machismo may kick in and...
01:39 let's say, a woman telling me something about myself,
01:42 saying I'm sensitive or something, I'm like, "I ain't sensitive. Whatever."
01:45 And then I check, I go, "No, no, no. Let's check in.
01:47 Let's check in. Maybe she's right.
01:49 Maybe you are coming from a place of this and that."
01:50 And I'll make sure that I'll address it, 'cause I wanna understand.
01:54 Right? I seek understanding.
01:56 And then, let's say she's right, I'm like, "You know what? You were right.
01:59 That's me... That was triggered by some part of me that..."
02:03 You know, I'll be vulnerable and open about whatever that is.- advertisement spot 2020
