Kellogg was one of the original 00:03 well-being visionaries he turned that 00:06 into an entrepreneurial idea that really 00:08 disrupted the way that people ate 00:10 breakfast every single day he was an 00:13 entrepreneur innovator and he was also 00:17 an early conservationist and passionate 00:20 about his community and all of those 00:22 amazing qualities still resonate with us 00:25 today 00:25 and are really a guiding force for the 00:27 work that we do I meant heard a little 00:30 girl at a local elementary school and 00:33 she shared with me some tough times that 00:35 her family have been going through 00:36 getting access to important basic needs 00:39 that no family should have to struggle 00:41 with having I think about that little 00:44 girl and I know that in some small way 00:46 I'm able to make her day better each and 00:48 every day because we're serving her 00:50 breakfast at school food is really at 00:52 the center of all that we do we have 00:55 amazing delicious foods that started 00:57 with the world's first breakfast cereal 00:59 and it's grown to a broad portfolio of 01:02 foods that are loved by families all 01:04 over the world but in addition what I 01:06 think makes Kellogg really special is 01:08 our heart and soul about a decade ago we 01:12 endeavour to create a more focused 01:15 strategy to really ensure that we're 01:18 making the biggest impact that we 01:19 possibly could and that strategy is 01:22 focused around the critical global issue 01:25 of hunger and food security so we 01:27 leveraged both our food programs as well 01:29 as our sustainability programs to solve 01:32 that through our better days platform 01:34 whether it's in food bank in querétaro 01:36 or on a farm in Michigan or in a feeding 01:40 program in Manchester all over the world 01:43 I believe it's what sets us apart I 01:45 think it's really awesome and powerful 01:48 to think about the impact that a big 01:50 company like Kellogg has the potential 01:52 to make in its actions we know that the 01:56 planet is at a crossroads we have the 01:59 opportunity to impact change all across 02:02 the globe at every level and are doing 02:05 everything that we can to protect people 02:07 the planet and communities by 02:09 responsibly using water 02:11 by supporting farmers by making sure our 02:14 energy usage is really responsible we 02:16 have a commitment to supporting 1 02:18 million farmers and workers by 2030 and 02:20 we work with partners like the Nature 02:23 Conservancy who can help us identify 02:25 opportunities to make sure that farmers 02:27 are using them and implementing the best 02:29 practices out there I hope that when 02:33 people purchase Kellogg products they 02:34 know that the things that we believe we 02:38 believe them so much that we want to 02:40 make sure that we're investing in people 02:43 we're investing in farmers were 02:45 investing in positive outcomes for the 02:47 future WK Kellogg was very committed to 02:52 supporting his communities and that 02:55 legacy really does live on in our 02:57 employees today I'm thinking of a food 03:00 packing event where hundreds of 03:01 volunteers came together and we packed a 03:04 hundred thousand meals in just two hours 03:06 for local families that's just one 03:08 example of how our employees are coming 03:10 together across the globe you know one 03:13 of the most humbling things that I do is 03:15 try and carry on mr.
