They’re the largest national LGBTQ civil rights organization—and they’re just one of the crews inspiring us (and spreading cheer!) this season. 00:01 I'm Jay browning my name is Leslie Hall 00:04 my name is Ellen my name is Melba we are 00:08 our crew does incredible work to support 00:13 LGBTQ youth and families all across the 00:15 country and we work at the intersection 00:17 of race gender identity and religion 00:19 LGBTQ young people are coming out at 00:21 younger and younger ages and it's really 00:23 critical that they know that their 00:25 families their their teachers their 00:28 doctors and that their elected officials 00:31 have their back LGBTQ youth are four 00:34 times more likely than their non LGBTQ 00:36 peers to consider suicide and that is a 00:40 direct result of hostility and 00:43 homophobia and transphobia and rejection 00:46 building up on young people all of us 00:48 have support and love in our lives and 00:51 we want to make sure that everybody else 00:53 has that too something that is just 00:55 amazing about everybody needs a crew 01:00 when we're talking about LGBTQ equality 01:02 we're really talking about letting 01:05 people surround themselves with people 01:06 who will who will lift them up and 01:08 instead of tearing each other down 01:09 there's a way to get involved no matter 01:11 where you are in making this world a 01:13 little bit better a little bit safer and 01:15 a little bit more equal absolutely 01:16 anyone can be a part of our crew 01:18 [Music] - advertisement spot 2018
