H-E-B is here to bring you holiday recipe inspiration the whole family will enjoy. In this series, we invited Marie Saba to share some of her favorite recipes to help you Holiday Even Brighter! Easy Apple Crisp Serves 6 – 8 Filling Ingredients: 5-6 cups thinly sliced apples 1 Tablespoon lemon juice 1/3 cup light brown sugar, packed ½ teaspoon cinnamon Topping Ingredients: ¾ cup H-E-B all-purpose flour ¾ cup chopped walnuts ½ cup light brown sugar, packed ½ cup H-E-B old-fashioned oats ¼ teaspoon salt ½ cup (1 stick) unsalted butter, at room temperature Serve with H-E-B Creamy Creations 1905 Vanilla ice cream or whipped cream Instructions: 1. Preheat oven to 350°F. 2. In a large bowl, toss apples with lemon juice, sugar, and cinnamon. Pour apples into 9-inch Kitchen & Table pie dish and set aside. 3. Using the same bowl from the first step, stir together flour, walnuts, sugar, oats, and salt. Mix in butter with your fingertips until the mixture resembles wet sand with some bigger chunks of walnuts and butter. Sprinkle topping over apples in a pie dish. 4. Bake for 1 hour, or until topping is golden brown and apples are tender. Cool for 15 minutes.
