Then, cut the nozzle to the desired bead size. If you’re using the cartridge, puncture the foil seal, then cut the nozzle at a 45-degree angle at the desired bead size. Next, apply the sealant by pushing bead ahead of nozzle. For gaps larger than ½ inch, use a backer rod. Then, immediately tool or smooth the bead after application, before a skin forms. This ensures maximum adhesion and provides a clean finished project. In 24 hours, you’ll have a fully cured seal. If clean-up is necessary, wipe wet sealant off the surfaces immediately with a dry cloth. Afterwards, store Gorilla Sealant in a cool, dry location with the nozzle attached.
