VIDEO Goose Island Born + Raised x Lauren Asta TV commercial 2019 • We're excited to announce Lauren Asta (@Lauren_asta) as our third artist for our hometown beer, Born + Raised. Easy drinking with a touch of sweetness from corn, slight fruit character from our house ale yeast, all balanced off with a light bitterness from noble hops. Born + Raised tap handles begin their journey in a local workshop. Cut from raw wood, each handle is etched on three sides with the remaining side left blank. From there, Goose Island partners with Chicago-based artists to hand paint a canvas comprised of 100 individual tap handles. Once the canvas is completed, the tap handles are distributed to Chicago establishments. Each tap handle is unique and has a numbered plate, in the same way every Chicagoan is part of our city and every neighborhood is part of our hometown. Our third artist, Lauren Asta is a traveling muralist and artist. She specializes in illustration, oddity art, doodle art, street art and murals. Her murals are all hand painted without any aid of a sketch, projector, or traced outlined.
