But in other applications, we encounter rough seas. Three coats of Flex Seal are required to seal the tube holes, larger holes will burst under water pressure. Even three coats of paint couldn't seal the vertical sections of our gutter end caps and joints: the product was dripping. Flex Seal is flexible, but will break when flexed too much. While it sealed the cracks in our pots, we had to use two coats of spray paint to hide our handwork.
We do not recommend using Flex Seal on foam. Some foams may not react well to the Flex Seal and may deform or fall apart. We also do not recommend using it in situations where it will be exposed to high heat or pressure (such as engine radiators) or fuel tanks. We do not recommend using Flex Seal Spray on vinyl. Always test before use.
