Sligo is calling this month as we head over to check out the beers on offer at White Hag’s Hagstravaganza 2022! We’ll kick things off with a Hop-stravaganza for our Hagstravaganza! This tall boy double IPA is bursting with exotic tasting notes such as spicy mango and pineapple. These are backed with mandarin and watermelon notes as a tribute to White Hag’s beers from the past few years. Siren’s Totality is a session IPA brewed especially for Hagstravaganza. Eclipse hops leads the way here bringing with it juicy tropical fruit flavours balanced against a smooth mouthfeel and refreshing bitterness. Light box subscribers rejoice! We have some amazing beers just for you including Trouble Brewing’s Lucky. Talus hops bring notes of lemon and sage which add to a palate bursting with peach, grape and orange. Slightly hazy and full of brightness, this is one not to be missed. From the Wild Atlantic Way we have Dingle, a Session IPA from Dick Mack’s. A light golden beer, you can expect a slightly honeyed background with exotic fruit leading the way into a dry finish. Don’t worry dark beer fans, we’ve got you covered with the mixed box. From O Brother we have an amazing extra stout in “How Now Are You?”. Expect aromas of dried fruit, coffee, chocolate and roasted malts leading to a palate of complex chocolate, espresso, figs, and a biscuity-caramel with a touch of smoke. Italy’s Brewfist bring their Gola Secca stout to the box. This beer is the meeting point between a dark dry stout and an Italian pilsner, and as the name suggests dryness is the key characteristic here. Want more beers in your box? A delicate bouquet of floral honey is supported by the classic malty wheat characters we’d expect. Medium carbonation and a subtle bitterness round everything out into a dry finish. 12 pack subscribers should keep an eye out for Boundary’s tall boy can of Life’s Carousel. This west coast style pale ale is dry hopped with cascade and simcoe hops complemented with a malty base bringing biscuit and caramel notes to a palate of tangerine and floral hoppy aromas.
