How to Delete Secure Folder on Samsung Phones

Uninstalling with Secure Folder Password:


  • Open Settings.
  • Navigate to Security and privacy and then Secure Folder (or More security settings followed by Secure Folder).
  • Enter your Secure Folder PIN or password.
  • Tap on More settings.
  • Select Uninstall.
  • Choose Move media files out of Secure Folder if you want to save your data. Otherwise, leave it unselected.
  • Confirm by tapping Uninstall again.
  • Uninstalling Without Secure Folder Password:

There are alternative methods to unlock Secure Folder if you forgot your password.  Reset your password, clear Secure Folder cache and data, use the Quick Shortcut app, or log out of your Samsung account. After regaining access, follow the steps above to uninstall.

Important Note: Uninstalling Secure Folder permanently deletes all data inside it, including apps, pictures, videos, and documents.

Hiding Secure Folder (without deleting):

If you don't want to delete Secure Folder but just hide it from your app screen, follow these steps:

  • Open Settings.
  • Go to Security and privacy and tap on Secure Folder (or More security settings followed by Secure Folder).
  • Toggle OFF the switch for Add Secure Folder to Apps screen.
  • Confirm by tapping Hide on the pop-up.

This hides Secure Folder from your apps screen. You can still access it through Settings.
