Are you wondering if you should steal the hideouts in Stalker 2? Well here we leave you the best answer.
Similar to the major missions, the side quests that are available within Stalker 2 are immersive and full of meaningful choices. Once you have encountered Misha and Grisha in the Garbage area, you will be able to unlock Budmo in Stalker 2, among other side quests. Moreover, they will provide you with plenty of vodka and share with you the locations of three caches their friend Panas had hidden away. Your goal is to put vodka in these caches; they will indicate that you shouldn't steal anything from them.
The Budmo side quest in Stalker 2 asks you to steal vodka from a few stashes, and this is how you do it along with the discussion of if it's worth it or not.
Every Single Budmo Mission Treasure Spot in Stalker 2
Three map markers, indicating the approximate locations of stashes, will appear on your PDA once you accept the job from Misha and Grisha. However, these caches are not in plain sight. They are so well hidden that they will take some work, but not too much, to find.
Where to Hide Your Treasure in the Dangerous Hole Region
The first cache is in the region of Poisonous Hole, where hazardous garbage covers the ground. Once you pass the poisonous ponds in green color, you'll see a cave entrance; the cache is hidden at the furthest part of the cave.
Enter at your own risk, as it would appear that two mutants are blocking your path. You will want to have some serious weaponry with you if you intend on taking them down. You can either loot the cache or, if you're feeling obedient, follow the instructions and leave vodka after you've cleared the area.
In the cache of the Poisonous Hole area, you'll find the following goods during the Budmo side quest:
Mask for an optician S-2 SMG pouch Grenade bullets for a PTM pistol
Where is the Stash on the Concrete Block Pile?
Pile of Concrete Blocks, sitting in the Garbage sector west of the Slag Heap safe house, is the second location we recommend checking out for a cache. Once you reach the marked location, head towards the center of the broken concrete slabs.
Head towards a spherical building that has been clad in yellow wooden boards. Smash the boards using your knife and underneath it is the hoard.
Stuff in the cache - in the Pile of Concrete Blocks location
M10 Gordon SMG, RNBW 2x Scope, Pistol Suppressor (PTM, APSB, Buket S-2, Zubr-19), Integral-A, Fora-221, Kharod, Mark 1 EMR, and more.
The Power Transmission Pylon along with the 45 ACP FMJ Ammunition Stash
Just northeast of the Slag Heap, on a hill next to the Power Transmission Pylon, you will find the last stash. Of the three, this cache can be somewhat trickier to obtain if it is the first one that you try to get. The cache is in the transmission tower, above ground, in a bird's nest.
You can reach there by climbing on the fallen tree nearby and connecting it with the tower by a log. With care, you can jump over it and help your self by using the bag to fulfill your mission.
At first, we couldn't go near the Power Transmission Pylon and know what was in that cache. Reason being, we spared Panas Shun. So, he leaves the Garbage area in Stalker 2 to head towards Duga or Pripyat since he does not want to stay drunk forever or be a drunken buddy of Misha and Grisha.
Nevertheless, to bring you this guide we reloaded the save file, walked directly to the Power Transmission Pylon and found the following goodies within:
Moonlight Artifact, Flash Artifact, and HILKA Detector
### Seeing Panas Shun Jr.
When you approach the third cache, Panas Shun will appear, provided you have resolved the previous two caches in any way - stole goods or placed vodka for instance.
He will become aggressive and accusatory the instant he finds out that you have been taking from his treasures. You should be prepared to fight if you choose to go this way.
On the other hand, Panas Shun will show up at the last minute with questions if vodka has been replaced. You can choose to attack him in this spot or not; if you choose the latter option, he will reward you with 1,754 Coupons.
Stalker 2 Budmo Side Quest: How to Hide Vodka
In the Budmo side quest, you need to approach and interact with Panas Shun's luggage to stash vodka in them. Once you are ready, right-click the vodka consumable in your inventory.
The "Put Down" option will appear on the resulting menu. After you are ready to add vodka to the stash, there will be a prompt about the quantity. To progress with the Budmo side quest in Stalker 2, you only need to drop one vodka every stash. So, don't waste extras by dropping more than what's needed.
Another way to do this is to simply drag the vodka from your inventory into the stash. You can also receive the transfer prompt by this method, as well.
Be very careful not to steal anything from the Panas Shun's treasure troves. Removing even a single item from the Budmo side quest in Stalker 2 can alter the ending, and very significantly.
The Budmo side mission in Stalker 2 gets you a head start on looting two of the three stashes, which means that you can keep the highly valuable weapons and gear you find. For the opening sections of the game, when these are far easier to come across, they will prove invaluable.
At the end of the Budmo mission, you will only get 1,754 Coupons if you opt not to steal anything from the stash and avoid killing Panas Shun. That's a very small quantity, and it will hardly cover some food or ammunition. Throw out the idea of buying any kind of weapon or good armor along with it.
You may have more powerful weapons and better equipment in your inventory by now, having already discovered other caches in the game world. You should still loot Budmo's stashes for the weapons and attachments contained therein, as these can offer significant upgrades.
One stash, close to the Transmission Pylon, only contains the noteworthy item, the HILKA Detector. If you only get here at the very end you won't be able to use the HILKA Detector. Because the HILKA Detector is only available relatively late in the main mission A Minor Incident, we suggest stealing from the other two caches before this one.
These steps will at least help you with your question; anyway, good luck, bye.
