How to Start the MSQ in FFXIV Crossroads

Since the expansion Dawntrail, Final Fantasy XIV has not dropped a major plot until Patch7.1 known as Crossroads. You may have saved the planet twice, but there is much for you to achieve in the new area. With patch 7.1, this is how MSQ can be accessed.

Starting the Multi-Skill Quest in Final Fantasy XIV: Patch 7.1: Conquest

Bol Wuruq is an NPC in Tulliyollal at X:10, Y:15. He will trigger the MSQ in Final Fantasy XIV patch 7.1. Brings in a completely new adventure labeled as A Royal Invitation. the next MSQ quest-giver will always be in the top left corner of the screen after speaking with them.

You need to have completed all of the multiple-choice quests in the main storyline of the Dawntrail expansion before you can advance through the main story. The quest can only be accepted if you attain level 100, which is the current level cap according to Dawntrail, and you have the Disciple of War or Magic job. Of course, if you have already defeated the expansion, you would have attained the level cap by then.

Preliminary patch notes present that version 7.1 will add a new dungeon that can be completed with a party of three, along with seven MSQs. Worth noting, of course, is that 7.1 is merely the first part of the continuation of the tale; within the next two years, we'll be getting more story update patches to lead into the next Final Fantasy XIV expansion. However, to avoid having too much to catch up on when the next expansion comes around, it is highly recommended to try and keep up with them upon release.
