This tutorial aims to explain how you can use your cell phone camera as a webcam with the help of Phone Link in Windows 11. Phone Link is one of the key components in the Windows 11 system, where you can find many cool features: record mobile screen on PC, copy text from an image, set up and use calls, etc. Now this app has a feature to use your Android phone or tablet camera as a webcam in any video app (such as Zoom, web apps, Windows Camera app, etc.) on Windows 11. You can switch between the front and rear cameras, pause and resume video/streaming, and use Effects (if your phone supports it). Once you have connected your Android phone and PC with its desktop client and mobile app (Link to Windows), you can use the Phone Link app to use your phone as a webcam to take photos, record videos, start streaming videos, and more. Just make sure that both apps are up to date so that you can use this feature. Also, it needs to be connected to WiFi or turn on mobile data access to use the mobile camera. 

Use your phone’s camera as a webcam with the Phone Link app in Windows 11

•  Open the Settings app on your Windows 11 PC (shortcut Win+I) 
• Select the Bluetooth & devices category 
• Go to the Mobile devices page 
• Toggle on the Phone Link option that is required to access your mobile device from your PC 
• Toggle on Allow this PC to access your mobile devices and expand it 
• Press the Manage devices button a new window will open, Manage mobile devices In this window, you will see the connected devices under the My devices section 
• Use the Enabled button for your mobile device Toggle on the Use as connected camera option to make your phone’s camera available for apps that use a webcam Open a video app. Here, we are using the Camera app. After opening the app, click on the Switch camera icon at the top right of its interface. 
• A box will appear to ask for permission to use your device’s camera. Now, press the Send notification button on that box. 
• Now a permission request will appear on your mobile. You will then be able to grant the necessary permissions to the Link to Windows application, such as taking photos and recording videos. Having done this, the Link box of The phone on the PC will display two options that you can use accordingly: Switch to Back or Switch to Front Pause Video or Resume Video. The same options will appear on your mobile screen, as seen in the image above. You will now be able to start using the Android phone as a webcam and use the options present in the video application that you will be using.
