Today in our article you will learn how to solve the problem of not enough space available on the disk.

When the system cannot execute data transfers, installations, changes in partitioning, and other similar activities that require contiguous free space, it sometimes shows the message "There isn't enough space available on the disk". This may occur even though it looks as though there is space, and is usually because there are either spaces unassigned, or space is fragmented.

Insufficient Available Disk Space

Other possible reasons might be the limitation of settings or issues related to disks.

Below are a few ways you might fix this kind of error.

1. Disk scan

You can, using a "Rescan Disks" utility, force the system to detect more partitions or free space on your disk. After this refresh, you may find the newest storage condition without further troubleshooting.

Launch Disk Management with Windows Key + X.

Click the Actions button located on the main menu, then select Rescan Disks.

Allow it to complete.

Check if the problem has been resolved.

2. Check Current Partitions

You can observe your disk partitions to detect whether space has fragmented or become unallocated. You may redistribute and compact the spaces that you found were faulty to get the most out of your storage and improve your system's performance.

3. Extend Volume with the help of Third-Party Software

The volumes can be extended with the help of any third-party software using the unallocated space without the limitations a built-in disk management places on it. This re-partitions the space in order to fix errors and so that everything runs seamlessly.

Download EaseUS Partition Manager from here and install it.

Launch EaseUS Partition Manager.

You can shrink a volume by right-clicking on the partition, selecting "Resize/Move," then changing the size and clicking OK.

To extend a partition, right-click on the partition you want to extend and select "Resize/Move" from the context menu.

After dragging the handle to the unallocated space, click OK.

Click on "Execute 1 Operation" and then click the "Apply" button.

With this you can resolve the error "Not enough disk space available" and definitely get your storage space back in no time.
