How to Force or Manually Install Windows 11 24H2 Update

1. Install using the Windows Update Utility

To reinstall Windows 11, go back to the setup wizard and select Refresh.

3. Installation with Media Creation Tool or ISO File.

You can also use the Media Creation Tool to upgrade Windows 11 to version 24H2 or download an ISO file. If you want to install the most recent version of Windows-even if it is not available via automatic updates-you can force the upgrade of Windows by using the Media Creation Tool or an ISO file instead of the normal process of going through the Windows Update.

Download the ISO from Microsoft, or get the Media Creation Tool.

To use a Media Creation Tool on a Windows PC only requires using a USB flash drive, but insert it before running the software installation.

Next, install Windows 11 using the Media Creation Tool, simply start it and follow a few onscreen prompts.

Another alternative to the download process is downloading the ISO file of Windows 11.

Under the drop-down option, select Windows 11 (multi-edition ISO for x64 systems), then click Download.

Select your best language. Click the button to confirm.

On the next screen, click 64-bit Download to start downloading.

When you are ready to upgrade in-place, simply double-click the ISO and run Setup.exe. When you do this, Windows 24H2 will preinstall on your PC.
