So, to learn How to Fix 'There Was A Problem Communicating With Google Servers', read on because today we are providing you with the steps to do it.

"There was a problem connecting to Google servers." is a generic error that describes your inability to access your Google account or any of Google's services. Whatever the reason may be, your device cannot connect to the servers of Google, and this error will appear. Most of the time, this type of error occurs due to an insufficient or unavailable internet connection.

We're Having Issues Getting You Connected With Our Servers

Other possible causes could be incorrect settings, out-of-date Google Play Services, or incompatibility of your device. A reinstallation of Google apps may work, or cleaning the app caches.

Now that we have the causes out of our way, let us talk about the fixes.

1. Disable 2-Step Authentication

The truth is, enabling 2-Step Verification sometimes makes accessing your Google account a bit more cumbersome. Disabling it, at least for the time being, can ease the process of logging in by eliminating the problematic steps.

Open your web browser and go to the address bar. In the address bar, type google.com and press Enter.

Sign in with a Google account.

To display your profile, click on your picture on the upper right.

Go to your Google Account.

Open your Google Account by clicking on your Gmail profile picture.

Click on Security.

Tap Security Button to Open Gmail Security Settings

Scroll to the bottom of the webpage, then click on 2-Step Verification.

Sign in again.

To turn off click on the button.

2. Clear Cache

This will clear all remnants of any deprecated or wrong information, thus allowing a re-start for the Google applications and services. If they aren't connecting to the Google servers properly, this might resolve it.

Take your Android device and go into the Settings menu.

If you have already connected your Google account to the phone, you can remove it from the list by tapping on Account. In case you are not sure, skip this step.

Go to the menu of apps or App Manager.

You should see Google Account Manager in the app drawer.

Note that some phones have to slide to the right to change tabs, so if this is the case you want to be on the All tab. Some phones are capable of sorting applications by their status such as running, SD card, etc. Google Account Manager's current state may not make it visible within the active application list. Search all the applications.

To clear everything on your Google Account, open the Account Manager.

Click on Clear Cache.

To reinstall Google Play Services, Google Play Store, and Google Services Framework, you must follow the procedures above three steps. Important: The Google Services Framework is not available in all phones so do not be surprised if you can't find it.

3. Reinstall Google Play Services

The problem can, at times, be caused by malfunctioning Google Play Services. Reinstalling the application will cure problems such as those of the application's failure to connect to the network or to Google's servers. This approach not only reconnects it but also offers you the latest updates and enhancements.

Find Settings.

Click on the Settings menu to open the settings.

Tap on Security.

Select "Security"

The option to toggle on unknown sources can be enabled. Now, you will be able to install applications from unknown sources. Since the files on APKMirror take into consideration that they are unknown sources, we are going to use that option to enable installing APK from that website.

Turn On Unknown Sources Option

Open your mobile browser. It could be Google or some other.

In the address bar, type apkmirror.com and press Enter.

Type "Google Play Services" in the search bar and press the Search icon.

In your browser, type apkmirror.com and hit enter. Then find Google Play Features.

From there, tap on the first item that comes up. You want the newest version of Google Play Services, and they show the newest versions at the top.

From Google Play Services Choose Best

Download the file compatible with your Android phone and version. Follow the prompts on-screen at the download page to ascertain which of the downloadable versions will best fit your gadget. Provide step-by-step instructions for the process.

Download Google Play Services to Your Device

Once you have finished installing the package, start the menu and proceed to the Settings, then to Accounts. Sign in using your Google.

4. Edit Host Files (For Rooted Phones Only)

Upgrading the host files might overcome the problem and let your rooted smartphone connect with the Google servers. It upgrades the connection and may correct the faulty DNS settings. After setting up the host files correctly, logging in and using all the Google services will be easier.

Find the Settings.

Tap the Settings menu to open settings.

Tap on Security.

Tap on "Security"

Unknown Sources Can Be Toggled On. From now on, you can install applications from unknown sources. The reason you needed to turn this on was for the installation of the APK downloaded from that website, because APKMirror files are unknown sources in their own right.

Allow Unknown Sources to be On

Open your mobile browser; it could be Google or any other.

Hit Enter after typing apkmirror.com in the address bar.

Type "ES File Explorer" in the search bar and hit Enter.

Use the search bar to navigate to the first result. You want the newest version of ES File Explorer, and the ones at the top are the most recent.

It is recommended that you install the most recent version available. ES File Explorer

Open ES File Explorer.

To start ES File Explorer, left-click on the name as it appears. The top left - Click the three bars. Expand ES File Explorer Preferences by Clicking the Three Bars Tools Select Tools to access settings app for Tools

Activate Root Explorer and allow it if prompted.

Activate Root Explorer to Function

Tap "Local."

Tap the Device. A couple of folders will appear right of the window.

Devices are Open by Tapping Them

Since you have activated System, tap to open the folder labeled etc.

On the system directory, open extras. Now that you are inside the system folder, tap "etc."

In the prompt that says what application to use to open after clicking the Hosts file, click Text. When asked, click ES Note Editor from the list.

Tap on Hosts to Open the Hosts File

Simply write 127.0.0.1 localhost after clearing everything that is inside the file.

Clear All Contents in the Hosts File

For now, tap the back key so that changes can be saved. You can verify it by reopening the hosts file by double-clicking it.

In the Hosts File, write 127.0.0.1 localhost.

Tap Accounts under the Settings menu. Sign in with your Google.
