It looks harmless and small, but don't get me wrong; this enemy is one capable of cleaning up an entire squad should you not be prepared. Approach the Nightsoul Totem, which is on the east side of Ancestral Temple. Migrate to the upper plateaus to reach the middle of the small pond. You will be able to enter the night world by touching the black rock on the northern edge of the body of water. 

How To Defeat He Never Dies

He Never Dies is not a hard boss if you just pay attention to his attack pattern and move set. Its primary method of interacting with you is through headbutting. Additionally, it will not spam you with unblockable attacks. But the reason many players will die is because of one major move.

The capybara will sometimes leap to its feet and run around the stadium. If one cannot dodge this swift attack, their character will die unless they have over 30,000 health. On my team, Furina is the only one that can take even a single hit from this devastating technique.

It will ask you to interrupt the boss's charging process. The best thing you could do here is an Overloaded response. This directly means you have to combine Electro and Pyro components.

Team 1 includes Raiden, Chevreuse, Xiangling, and Bennett. 

2 is constituted by Bennet, Yoimiya, Chevreuse, and Fischl.

That, then, is the right way to beat this optional boss. If you feel like it, you can use some strategies to your advantage. One quick way of killing He Never Dies is by using Jean. What you want to do is utilize the capybara's Elemental Skill to catapult her in the air and send it soaring. You can kill it fast because the fall damage will reduce its health significantly.

Air-capable characters will be able to dodge the Overloaded team's dash attack. First that comes to mind is, of course, Wanderer with his flight. Albedo is another decent option to bring along since you can actually stand on his bloom. Climbing on Zhongli's pillar gets ruined just as effectively, though, by the initial dash attack.

The boss' regular attacks can deal a lot of damage, so you might as well bring a shielder even though Zhongli isn't really a benefit here. You'll want to make sure Jean lives, thus having a powerful healer like Kokomi would be of help too.

If you aren't good at dodging his dash attacks, then your best bet is to use other team members as tanks. Try to avoid them at all costs since they only have a one-hit effect. On my second try in dropping this local legend seven times, I beat him. If you want to do decent fall damage, just aim straight up.
