Today in our guide we will talk about The best strategy for each phase of a stalemate match.

Being a MOBA in nature, Deadlock tends to become one of those games where matches take a lot of time and strategies come into play. Success usually requires a good plan that defines the course of action for every stage of the game. Now, let's go ahead and discuss some tips for every phase of Deadlock.

Deadlock Tips for Every Match Stage

Early Game (0-10 Minutes)

In Deadlock, early game-usually within the first ten minutes-is the most critical time one needs to build on a great foundation. Aggressively farming your souls and trying to pull ahead of your opponents should be your number one goal.

Farm as Many Troopers as You Can

Focus on Soul Farming: Early game means soul gathering. Kill as many Troopers as possible to have a big lead in souls. Souls provide the direct leveling speed of your hero, so a head start is important. You will be at a big disadvantage in case the enemy team levels up faster than you. That is why efficient farming of the Troopers is one of the main points of the early game.

Don't Duel Other Heroes

Avoid Reckless Dueling: Too many starting players, especially those coming from hero shooters, try to prioritize hero kills early in a game. The problem is that your hero will be extremely fragile throughout most of the early game, and engaging in a duel at low health and with weak abilities can be suicidal. Dying in a duel not only puts you behind but gives your opponent a guaranteed soul advantage. To avoid this, farm as much as possible during the lane phase and generally be avoiding any fights unless strictly necessary. Souls should actively be denied by breaking the orbs which appear when the Troopers fall.

Break Crates and Gold Idols

Use Map Resources: The early game is an actual struggle to level up your hero as quickly as possible. All those crates and Gold Idols scattered around the map are so valuable. Rewarding souls and permanent buffs, like health, damage, or stamina, await you when breaking these objects. Try finding and breaking those often.

Farm Creepers for Some Extra Souls

Farm Tier 1 Creepers Judiciously: Two minutes in, Tier 1 Creeper Camps start to spawn on the map. These are groups of 2-4 relatively weak monsters that serve as a good source of souls. Barring a few exceptions, you can often take these solo, but just remember that killing Creepers rewards "unsecured" souls, which are slowly added to your score. If you die before they are secured, you will lose them. You can farm Creepers very safely, so avoid reckless farming.

Mid Game (10-20 Minutes)

The mid game starts around ten minutes in Deadlock and goes up until the 20-minute mark. At this stage, heroes can use more powers and the possibility of Guardian takedowns opens up.

Start Working Toward a Build

Plan Your Build Strategically: By the middle of the game, you should be having a good amount of souls. Now is the right time to think over and build up a well-thought-out build. Which particular build would be selected depends on your hero strengths and weaknesses, together with the general game state. Begin very seriously with the planning out of item purchases and effectively managing gold in order to progress a build very smoothly.

Time to Get Aggressive

Seize Opportunities: Once your hero is strong enough, you are in a good position to push objectives and clash with the other team's heroes, but not recklessly. Have some patience and judge the situation before looking for an opening. Sometimes, opportunities will appear in lanes far from the action; the minimap will show which lanes are weak.

Tier 2 Creeper Camps

Tier 2 Creeper Farming: Though Tier 2 Creepers spawn as early as 7 minutes into the game, generally it is more effective to farm them after your hero has some strength. These camps are an excellent balance between souls and difficulty and tend to be a good target throughout the game. When you have a choice, farm Tier 2 Creepers. Have this become the role of the dedicated player in your team so that you guys can give more thought to getting souls on a regular basis.

Defeat the Mid Boss

Strategically target the Mid Boss: the Mid Boss appears at the mid-game, it is a big reward. You need to take care of both the blue and orange lanes to make them safe for your movements and prevent interference from the enemy team. This will then coordinate with your teammates to kill the boss, which gives one a pretty large number of souls along with the very valuable Rejuvenator buff. Of course, you can still kill the Mid Boss if need be, later in the game, but definitely avoid allowing the enemy team to steal its rewards.

Soul Urn Objective: This objective appears at 10, 15, and 20-minute marks during the game. You are supposed to carry the Soul Urn to a specific location on the map. Provided you succeed in doing that, your whole team gets a quite big amount of souls.

All members are rewarded with an equal quantity of souls. The player completing the objective receives the following bonus: 25% increase in his soul account and a bonus ability point. With the Spirit Urn, however, he cannot make use of his base attack or abilities.

20-30 minutes Late Game

Late game in Deadlock starts after the 20-minute mark and can last until the end of the game. This is where early and mid-game work comes into culmination. Your builds at this time should be well developed, and your heroes at their pinnacle of power.

Look for Openings

Identify Weaknesses and Exploit Them: Note the weakness in lanes or open enemy heroes you can threaten by monitoring your minimap. Whenever possible, attack either by lane pushing or on a flanking route when an enemy hero is isolated. Keep an eye on your teammates' whereabouts and offer help where necessary. Vigilance coupled with the seizing of opportunities-the former shall always keep one miles ahead of others.

Counter Builds

Analyze and Counter Builds: Enemies will most definitely have strong heroes with well-thought-out builds. Observe their strategy carefully and items used. Understanding their strengths and weaknesses will allow you to decide on items and abilities that could successfully counter their strategy. Such strategic adaptation levels out their advantages, bringing in opportunities for your team.

Tier 3 Camps

Farm Tier 3 Camp Creepers for Most Rewards: At the end-game, all your farming should go into Tier 3 Creepers. Those camps give out a lot of souls, which will skyrocket the power of your hero. If your hero is strong enough, you can attempt soloing these camps, but if you don't feel confident enough to do that, just make sure to coordinate it with your teammate in order to execute this safely.

Risk

Seize the Moment: Late game is where the aggressive plays should be made. Take risks, flank around the enemy lines, and judiciously use abilities and ultimates. Now is the time for impactful plays that might turn the tide of the match.

By being aware of these strategies and adapting them to the specificity of each particular match, you'll go a long way toward guaranteeing your success in Deadlock.
