How to Access Deluxe Edition Content in Frostpunk 2

Frostpunk 2 finally hits the scene and makes plenty of PC gamers happy. Consoles will have to wait a bit longer, but PC players can already jump headlong into this ice-cold world. The game is still free of microtransactions, but if one wants even more content, there is an available Deluxe Edition out there.

If you have purchased the Deluxe Edition and are unsure about how to acquire its rewards, then your search is over. The following guide details all the steps one has to execute to unlock the exclusive bonuses entailed in one's purchase.

What is included in Frostpunk 2 Deluxe Edition?

But while there isn't game-changing content included within the Deluxe Edition, it definitely has a plethora of bonuses that hardcore fans might find a little too hard to resist. The Frostpunk 2 Deluxe Edition includes in its package the following:

Base Game

3 Paid DLCs (Released Post-Launch)

10% Discount (for purchases made before September 20, 1:00 PM EDT)

Three-Day Early Access to the game

Exclusive In-game Item Captain's Hall skin-a change in the aesthetic of Council Hall to what it used to be in the old days.

Note that the Standard Edition launches on September 20, so there is only a day's worth of early access by getting it now. Also, the skin Captain's Hall applies strictly cosmetically and has zero impacts on gameplay.

How to Claim Deluxe Edition Content of Frostpunk 2

Make sure that these are downloaded along with Frostpunk 2; later, these will show up in the installed game directory.

Steam: Download the soundtrack from Steam. Activate it in your Steam Library to see Frostpunk 2 and begin downloading. Once downloaded, this is where it will reside, ready for you to listen to in MP3, WAV, or FLAC format.

To active the in-game item, Captain's Hall, select it in the DLC tab as you download it, then go into settings and open the General Tab. All the way to the bottom, you'll be able to change the Council Appearance from Default to Deluxe Edition. Be sure to click on "Accept" at the end.

This will affect how your in-game council looks. Note that this option is available only in the Main Menu and cannot be changed during gameplay.

Currently, Captain's Hall is the only in-game Deluxe Edition content. The three DLCs that make up the Deluxe Edition will be released later and will expand the Frostpunk 2 experience with further content and challenges for you to overcome.
