How to Fix Test Drive Unlimited Solar Crown ‘Failed to Login’

Nacon just released its latest addition to the cult classic, Test Drive series-Test Drive Unlimited Solar Crown-early access players who purchased the premium Gold Edition. It would seem that those early access players are having very substantial connectivity issues. Countless players who paid nearly $80 in the Gold Edition of Test Drive Unlimited are not able to connect with its servers due to the constant "Failed to Login" errors. That's left many players frustrated at having an expensive Gold Edition, yet without early gameplay to speak of.

Test Drive Unlimited Solar Crown Servers Down?

Unfortunately, since it seems to be a direct result of server overload, there is not really a surefire way to resolve the "Failed to Login" error in Test Drive Unlimited Solar Crown. This persistent issue has left many players frustrated and unable to access the early gameplay they paid for.

Other players on Reddit reported success with just trying to connect over and over again until they somehow break through server congestion. That solution is hardly reliable and may require much patience and persistence.

The servers have, however, been extra-strained from people trying to get into the early release of Test Drive Unlimited Solar Crown. Since Test Drive Unlimited Solar Crown is an always-online game, its players need a stable internet connection and persistent connectivity to the server to sustain any kind of gameplay.

On September 5, 2024, an official Test Drive Unlimited X Twitter account finally spoke on the connectivity issues: including an in-depth article posted by Steam. The post alludes to an "encompassing plan" in place to solve server problems and confirms a significant increase to server capacity to allow more concurrent players online. They can be certain that ongoing efforts are in play in trying to get the network issues sorted out, but they cannot give any timeline for full connectivity.

Otherwise, there is little else to do but patiently wait for the Test Drive Unlimited team to sort out its servers. No announcements have been made regarding any in-game compensation for those who purchased the Gold Edition specifically for early access.

This is not an uncommon phenomenon for much-hyped game releases. During early access, server strain and connectivity issues can arise due to unforeseen demand. 

While the hardworking team at Test Drive Unlimited works around the clock to get this fixed, community members may have to be patient and let them provide a seamless gaming experience to one and all.
