GreedFall boasts an interesting combination of adventure and romance in which a player will get to know and form attachments with a plethora of interesting characters. If for you the spice of games includes romantic pursuits, you surely will like finding out about various romantic options that are present in this game, an immersive RPG. Embark on Teer Fradee, discover opportunities, and find your love and companion.

All Romance-able Characters in GreedFall

GreedFall does have some romance options, with four major companions to pursue. Which ones depends on both the gender of your character and how well you're able to curry favor with that character through their respective quests.

All romanceable characters have three unique quest segments intertwined with the main storyline. Completing these quests and choosing the right dialogue options will raise your reputation and give you a better chance at a romantic relationship.

Female De Sardet:

Kurt: A heterosexual romance option.

Aphra: A heterosexual romance option.

Vasco: A bisexual romance option.

Male De Sardet:

Kurt: A heterosexual romance option.

Aphra: A heterosexual romance option.

Síora: A bisexual romance option.

How to romance Kurt

For the Lady De Sardets:

Come on, Kurt. That poor, charming Coin Guard captain is flirtatious enough to just beg for a romance option. He's been by your side since the beginning, literally offering support at every turn.

Unlocking Love:

MIA: This is a Kurt side quest that becomes available by speaking to Constantin, at the Governor's Palace in New Sérène. It requires finding one of the missing Coin Guard recruits. Note that some of the conversation options will strengthen the relationship with Kurt.

Key Conversation Points:

After "Missing in Action": Once Kurt asks about what you felt for Reiner, choose "Tell him that it was so you could understand him better." This shows your empathy and hence reinforces the bond.

Second Quest - "Among the Ghosts": Ask him about his relationship with Captain Rolf. "Tell him about a childhood memory with Constantin." This will establish trust and show the other side of your vulnerability, too.

Final Steps:

Reputation Matters: Your reputation with Kurt should always be at an ultimate high throughout your journey with him.

Survival is Key: He will have to survive the attempted Coin Guard coup for the final quest to unlock.

"Settling Scores": Complete this final quest for Kurt.

The Future Beckons: Ask Kurt about his future plans.

 Choose "Tell him you hope that you will be a part of it." This shows the interest.

Grand Finale:

After finishing his quests and selecting the best dialogues, speak with him one more time. A unique conversation will follow in which Kurt will declare his love and will want to spend a night in privacy with you. If you agree, go back to your private quarters, in any of the three large cities. Prepare yourself for a "hot scene" with the Captain!

Romancing Vasco

Vasco is also a super relatable character who got laid off upon arrival and will join you on your adventures quite readily. His personal quest unlocks after your initial conversation with Constantin on Teer Fradee.

Charting Your Course:

"A Name for a Family": Complete the first part of Vasco's quest.

Life as a Naut: Ask Vasco if he ever regretted choosing that career path. This will lead to "Ask him if he has any happy memories.".

Family Reunion: Help him find his brother in "Family Reunion." Ask him how he feels about his brother. Choose "Tell him that this was his chance to stand up for himself" to validate his progress.

Forever a Naut: Complete the personal quest for Vasco with "Forever a Naut."

Setting Sail Together: Ask him what his plans are for the future on the seas. Choose "Tell him that you'd like to sail with him again sometime" to show your sentiment.

Harbor of Love:

Once you've done all the above, go back and speak with Vasco. Prepare yourself for something deliciously sappy or a tad cringy in nature, as he requests some time to himself. Head to your De Sardet residence in any major city, and a romantic cutscene will play - full of another poem, naturally!

How to romance Síora

Síora is one of the prime characters in the storyline of GreedFall, being very involved in inter-clan relationships. Of course, you will have to spend a lot of time with her in your team. It's believable that you get a connection with her.

Romancing Síora: A Guide Through Her Heart

Dating Síora requires some tact because of her native heritage. You need to pay attention constantly to what you say if you want to start earning her trust and understanding.

Shared Loss: Complete Síora's first quest "Find Queen Bladnid." Crucially, choose her shortcut to avoid losing reputation with her due to her mother's potential demise.

Empathy and Understanding: After her mother has passed away, choose "Tell her about having to say goodbye to your own mother" to show empathy.

Respecting Her Culture: Complete her second companion quest, "Promises Set in Stone." When asking how she knew the missionaries were lying, choose "Tell her it seems logical, given their culture" to show respect for her traditions.

Supporting Her Decisions: Complete her companion quest with "The Queen's Farewell". If you ask her about her plans from now on, select "Tell her that you would understand if she had to help her people" for expressing your support.

Reaching the Romance Shore:

Once you've done all this, speak with Síora. Prepare for a serious confession and an invitation to be alone. Return to your De Sardet home, and a romantic scene will play out. After the cutscene, she will offer "minundhanem," which likely means romantic partner in her language.

How to romance Aphra

Aphra joins your party later in the game on behalf of the scholars of the Bridge Alliance. While she is a feisty fighter, there is a soft and gentle soul beneath the tough exterior. Unfortunately for ladies playing as De Sardet, that soft spot is strictly reserved for men.

A Scholar's Quest for Understanding:

Aphra seeks more information about island natives and requests De Sardet's assistance. Here are the major options to charm her:

Mutually Experienced Events: Complete the first quest of hers "Islander Knowledge." Once done with the campfire, discuss what happened with Aphra. Choose "Talk to her about the two youths" as an expression of interest in her observations.

Shared Growth: Help her even more in "Cave of Knowledge." Then, when you're out of the cave, ask her if she had a good time. You're going to want to choose "Tell her that you feel like you've learned so much" in order to be grateful for what she's taught you.

Growth Through Ritual: Complete the third leg, "The Linking Ritual." Ask if the ceremony changed her perspective. Choose "Tell her you hope that you will be a part of it" to tell her you support her growth.

Unblocking Romance:

Do all the above steps again, start another conversation with Aphra. Prepare for deep confession of her feelings. If you feel the same she will offer meet in your quarters. Return to your De Sardet house for a romantic cutscene.

Multiple Companions

Can you romance multiple companions in GreedFall?

While GreedFall does allow you to flirt with a number of your companions, once you decide to commit to a romantic relationship with one, it locks you out of being able to pursue the others. You can, however, flirt with other companions without suffering any penalty for doing so.

When you have fully completed a romantic relationship with a chosen companion, you receive an achievement that shares the same name as that companion. For those interested in trying to get all achievements in-game, you'll want to make several playthroughs with both male and female De Sardet characters.

Additional work is needed and is well-worth it for the satisfaction of experiencing each romance option.
