How to Customize Armor in Warhammer 40K Space Marine 2

On September 9, 2024, one of the highly awaited action-adventure titles that will come from Focus Entertainment is Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2. Gaming enthusiasts await this title with bated breath, and among the many questions lingering in every other person's mind is the possibility of being able to change armor color for your Space Marine.

The good news is: yes, you can! Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2 gives you the ability at any point to customize your armor's appearance while you are on the Battle Barge. That's not all; you will also be able to unlock new and more powerful armor sets while progressing through the game.

How to Customize Armor Color and How to Unlock New Armor in Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2

Change Armor Color:

Head to the Battle Barge Armouring Hall. This is your main hub for changing your Space Marine's appearance and equip Saiya-jin gear.

From here, select "Edit Armour" at the bottom of this menu - it opens a new screen where changes to your armor can be made.

Using the Right Bumper or its PC equivalent, head to the Astrates Chapters menu. This menu allows you to select different Chapter-specific armor sets.

Click any empty slot of Custom Armour Sets at the bottom of your screen. You shall have a new clean slate to fill in the armor with.

Feel free to change all the colors you want. You will see a wide array of options open before you: take your time and mix and match until you get your uniquely looking Space Marine. Once satisfied, exit the menu.

Want more armor? There's a bunch to start off with, but completing certain bits of the game'll unlock others.

How to Unlock New Armour

Head back to the Armouring Hall.

Select "Edit Armour."

From there, go into the Astrates Chapters menu.

Press "Heraldry" in the middle of the screen. This option allows you to choose different Chapter-specific heraldry, which sometimes will unlock special armor designs.

Scroll down the list of Astartes until you find a color or design that you like. Each Astartes Chapter has their own unique heraldry, and you can take your time to explore options.

It is in unlocking the options for decals that will allow one to gain the color or design one wants. It is also possible that certain heraldry options will require one to unlock specific decals or emblems to access the full customization potential.

Note: Most of the emblems and other options must be purchased with in-game currency, which you can gain by playing through the game's PvE and PvP multiplayer modes.

The more you play, the more you are able to unlock new armor pieces to customize your Space Marine to your heart's content.
