How to revive other players in PILGRIM
PILGRIM In this game, reviving a fallen comrade is done by searching around for a Pentagram. These usually appear near dungeon entrances or within the Merchant's point of interest. Activating will require Chalk, which is an easily accessible item that can be found on your wagon, near the blackboard.
There are two ways to revive a player:
Carry the Body: Pick up your deceased comrade's intact body from the place where he died and carry it to the Pentagram.
Put on a Mask: If unreachable, then the usage of a Mask will revive the player right at the Pentagram.
Remember to drop any unused Chalk back into the wagon so that you don't lose it. Chalk occupies an inventory slot, only equipping when needing to revive a fallen companion.
How to revive a player with their body
To revive a fallen comrade in PILGRIM, you need to find their intact body. Unfortunately, corpses can take damage and even be destroyed, which makes them unable to use to revive. If you have difficulty trying to pick up a teammate's body due to some sort of bug, try having someone else- notably the server host-pick it up.
It usually stands near the entrance and is used in performing the revival ritual. Once you have an intact body, take it to the entrance and look for the Pentagram there. Not all bodies can be revived; only the intact ones can. If a body got lost, for example, because of a fall, or if it got eaten, then you will have to use another way of revival using a Mask.
How to revive a player with a Mask
If the body of a fallen comrade is unreachable, the only possible way of revival is buying a Mask from The Merchant. This character of mystery shows up between dungeons and sells some very important items: Wagon Crystals, The Crystal Compass, Torches, and replacements in case some equipment was lost. Masks can be bought for £30, that can be earned by selling loot from dungeons. However, one must be very cautious while going through the stuff that The Merchant sells because, along the way, there is a selected buying of an item, which could put you into debt. Keep in mind that you are allowed to fall into debt by up to £30.
When purchasing a Mask, it is not necessary to search for the exact Mask of the lost pilgrim. There may be several Masks available in the Merchant's stock, and any one of them will serve as the resurrected teammate's new identity.
Drawing the Pentagram
In order to begin the revival ritual, you will first need to equip the Chalk by setting it in its item slot. Then, you will want to place the body or Mask on the Pentagram. With the Chalk, press the left mouse button down and carefully trace the Pentagram engraving. Precision is not important, but the more within the lines you stay the better the ritual will go. When it is activated, the Pentagram will glow. Your revived teammate(s) will respawn in the lobby when the ritual has been completed, and you may now proceed with your pilgrimage together.
Pentagram is an extremely powerful item, with unlimited uses. You can set a body and a Mask on it at the same time, and it will continue with the revival process for each item in turn order. We speculate that a player revived first may be the last one to fall in battle, and hence have priority in revivals.
By doing so, and with an understanding of the revival process, your team can remain together, continuing their pilgrimage through the challenging world of PILGRIM.
