How to Get Sanctifying Elixirs in Genshin Impact

There are two ways to get Sanctifying Elixirs in Genshin Impact:

Artifact Transmuter: You will be able to use this tool to extract the Artifacts and get Elixirs.

Gnostic Hymn Battle Pass: Buy the battle pass and claim an Elixir as part of the reward.

Free-to-play players have to rely on the Artifact Transmuter, while paying players will receive their Elixirs through the battle pass. The process for accomplishing this via Artifact Transmuter is below. It seems like a person can only obtain one Elixir a version update.

Using the Artifact Transmuter

In Genshin Impact, the gadget, Artifact Transmuter, is gained after completion of the Embattle task in the Adventurer Handbook, which requires gathering 25 5-star Artifacts. Once the gadget is unlocked, players use the Artifact Transmuter by feeding it unwanted artifacts and gaining Extraction Progress. Once 100 Extraction Progress has been achieved, the player is granted one Sanctifying Elixir.

Note that only +4 or +5 Artifacts give Extraction Progress and, of course, that +5 Artifacts give more progress. As said, Elixirs are only acquired through the Artifact Transmuter once per version update.

How to Use Sanctifying Elixirs in Genshin Impact

With at least one Sanctifying Elixir in hand, you can now create Artifacts.

Open the Artifact Transmuter menu, choose an Artifact set and piece. You can choose a desired main stat and two substats. The other two substats will be assigned randomly.

The number of Elixirs consumed for the creation of an Artifact is different depending on the type of piece:

Flowers - 1 Elixir

Feathers - 1 Elixir

Sands - 2 Elixirs

Circlets - 3 Elixirs

Goblets - 4 Elixirs

Also, consider the following:

Artifact Level: The level of the Artifact that you want to craft is going to influence how many Elixirs will be needed. The higher the level of an Artifact, the more Elixirs it requires.

Substat Quality While you will have choices for two substats, the quality of those substats will still be left to chance. You can still get low starting values from substats even with Elixirs.

Multiple Attempts: If not satisfied with the initial roll of substats, one can use additional Elixirs to reroll the Artifact. Since this process is costly, weigh the benefits against the cost of extra Elixirs.

Artifact Sets: While creating Artifacts, one will have to think over which will be most appropriate for the set in mind and what main stat and substat combination will work best with your character's overall build.
