Peasants are the most numerous and important social group, being the backbone of Norland. Dressed mainly in green, these hard workers advance the country in agriculture, production, and military services. To have the opportunity for a prosperous and pacific land, it is necessary to be in good relations with them and satisfy their needs. This page covers some of the most important mechanics concerning such a crucial population group, telling us how to gain popularity, loyalty, and support from them.

What does this social group do?

Peasants form the bulk of Norland, its anchor of society. Clad in their rags dyed green, they toil in its fields, in its construction, and in its industry. You do not command them directly, but their efforts answer to Lords who obey your every decree.

Click the small man icon in the top left to view the peasants statistics. The number below is the total number of peasants, and the number in brackets is the number of them whom are unemployed. The summary window will give you details of their wealth, subgroups  and average mood.

Peasant Mood, as with the Lords, is an expression of the number of basic needs the citizens' overall satisfaction with their life and is a combined effect of four different factors: Sleep, Food, Rest, and Piety. Generally, peasants deal with Sleep and Piety on their own, but you need to provide basic infrastructure to satisfy their needs in Food and Rest. Ensure that there is enough farmland, Alcohol, and temples.

The individual will start having negative thoughts, which can be inspected by clicking on a peasant and going through the "Mood" tab. There are positive thoughts. Pay attention to the table at the top left - it shows the types of thoughts in a concise way.

Common issues like a lack of housing or food. Immediately resolve them by constructing infrastructure. The more mature your township is, the more your peasants dream about quality goods that are superior. Build rye and hop farms, mills, pig farms, or breweries to turn your goods into quality ones.

Keep in mind that the key factor in a successful kingdom is high peasant morale. Keeping all of their basic and changing requirements satisfied will keep them loyal and industrious.

How to control peasants' finances?

Economy Management

To have a balanced kingdom in your hands, you will have to adjust your citizens' needs. Here it means to balance salaries and prices of staple products.

Wage management:

• Tap on the "Finance" tab, which is situated at the bottom of the game screen.

• Scroll down to "Wages."

• Specify what daily wages the peasants, the warriors, and the unemployed deserve.

• Make sure the peasants are charging at least for one unit of food each day and some alcohol when they feel like drinking.

• Keep in mind that wages are to be always in good balance and never reach bankruptcy since everyone is getting angry and living free.

• Once the kingdom is more stable and with better revenues, start giving higher wages so people can save and hence, increase social mood.

• Click on "Finance" tab and make necessary modifications to daily food

rations for the prison.

• High dissatisfaction among the prisoners might make them rebellious.

• Left side of the tab allows you to fix a daily quantity amount and price per unit

for good.

• Make sure the peasants can meet their all necessary expenses every

day/money–lending is not include.

• Lower the dissatisfactions due to the same taste of food. Make better goods

available at a pleasing cost .
