Tier List for All Characters in The First Descendant

Following the release of Nexon's online third-person looter shooter The First Descendant, there are 14 characters available and while there will be more later, it will be important to know which ones are available right now.

This tier list ranks characters based on their overall effectiveness in the July 2nd launch version of The First Descendant. The developers have actively tweaked characters based on beta feedback, so keep in mind that this can change with future balance updates.

Tier List for All Characters in The First Descendant
S Tier (Top Tier):

• Bunny: Bunny excels in both single-target and AoE damage, making them a versatile damage dealer for any situation. They're a popular choice for players who want to focus on offense.
• Enzo: Enzo brings raw power to the battlefield. Their abilities are geared towards aggressive play and dishing out high amounts of punishment.
• Jayber: Similar to Bunny, Jayber boasts impressive damage output. Their kit might be more focused on sustained damage rather than burst compared to Bunny.
• Yujin: Unlike the other S-Tier characters, Yujin shines in a supportive role. They provide invaluable healing and buffs to their teammates, keeping them alive and maximizing their effectiveness in battle.

A Tier (Strong):

• Ajax: Ajax is a well-rounded character, offering a good balance between damage dealing and survivability. They can be a dependable asset to any team composition.
• Freyna: Freyna specializes in bringing the pain. Their abilities are designed to inflict high damage on enemies, making them a great choice for players who enjoy aggressive playstyles.
• Gley: While not a pure damage dealer, Gley excels in crowd control. Their abilities can lock down enemies, making them easier targets for teammates to eliminate.
• Valby:  As the tank, Valby is the frontline fighter, drawing enemy aggro and protecting teammates. They possess abilities to absorb damage and disrupt enemy formations.

B Tier (Situational):

• Esiemo: Esiemo can be a valuable asset in specific situations. Their abilities might have more strategic applications that require planning and coordination with teammates.
• Lepic: Lepic might have a niche role on the battlefield. Their strengths may lie in specific builds or team compositions.
• Viessa: Viessa's effectiveness depends on the situation. They might be more suited for certain encounters or playstyles.

C Tier (Needs Improvement):

• Blair: Currently, Blair's abilities underperform compared to other characters. They might benefit from future buffs to make them more competitive.
• Kyle: Similar to Blair, Kyle needs some adjustments to be more on par with the stronger characters.
• Sharen: Sharen struggles to keep up with the current power level of other characters. They might require significant buffs or a rework to be a viable choice.

Important Notes:

This is based on the assumption of equal player skill across characters. A skilled C Tier player can outperform a less skilled S Tier player. Mastering a character you enjoy can be more rewarding than simply picking the highest tier option.
