The whole subject of aging is not something that most people want to be reminded of but this commercial is a delightful one that sidesteps this basic fact of life with the AARP community and people who will be part of it in later years as learning from one another.
“End Plastic Waste” – Addidas Originals
Using a favorite like Kermit the Frog from the Muppets easily makes this ad one of the very best commercials to hit the airwaves in 2021. Kermit’s famous saying “it’s not easy being green” is a great way to encourage the audience to be part of conserving the environment. Tennis legend, Stan Smith also makes an appearance and a cue from Yoda of “do or do not – there is no try.”
“Duet” – Allstate

“Fumble” – Apple
Apple’s “Fumble” ad has no dialogue whatsoever, pure simplicity but has the desired impact as the star of the ad frantically tries to stop her iPhone from crashing to the pavement, but fails. At the same time a catchy singsong describes her struggle. A great TV commercial.
“Last year’s Lemons” – Bud Light.
Bud Light took on the lemon that was 2020 due to the pandemic. “Last Year’s Lemons” commercial really took on the challenge and won. 2020 certainly “left a sour taste in our mouth” and this poignant ad is definitely up there with the top Super Bowl commercials this year.
“Hands Free” – Cadillac
Ah, memories memories…Cadillac really scored a goal here! This incredible Super Bowl commercial, with its ode to the classic Edward Scissorhands, really is one of the best, if not the best of all time.
“It Wasn’t Me” – Cheetos
This fun and light hearted commercial appeared during the Super Bowl LV and is another one of Cheetos memorable ads, made especially for the Big Game. A commercial featuring Shaggy always gets a thumbs up and then there’s the bonus appearance of Ashton Kutcher and Mila Kunis which makes it a top ad for 2021.
“All By Myself” – Expedia
Hopefully travel will return to normal as the pandemic dissipates. Expedia is banking on this being the case. The commercial features the bubbly Rashida Jones and makes exploring the world once again feel like a positive and a safe option. One of the best commercials of 2021.
“GEICO Claims Audition: Lisa Loeb” – GEICO Insurance
GEICO has produced some of the very best ads of all time and it looks like they may have done it again. This commercial is a return to the 90s and features Lisa Loeb whose song “Stay” was a staple of that time. GEICO has put a humorous spin on the song. The commercial is definitely to be considered one of the best of 2021.
“Delivery Dance” – Grubhub
This commercial caused a little controversy. The controversy concerns dancing animated characters who cut a rug in happiness as their food arrives. Some people love this ad and others are less inspired. However, whichever side you fall, this ad has created quite a stir and has become one of the best ads of 2021.
“Meet the King” – Jimmy John’s.
Another great ad appearing during the Super Bowl. Featuring Brad Garrett as the “Tony Montana of the sandwich world.” This could be the most popular commercial on TV this year!
“Spring Into Action” – Kohl’s
People are slowly moving out of their homes again now that the pandemic is fading and Kohl’s charming commercial uses sidewalk art to navigate this. Using chalk fun this ad introduces a little joy and has you smiling as you watch.
“The Ad Where Nothing Happens” – Progressive Insurance.
Progressive has produced some of the very best commercials and this ad again is yet another. This commercial gives a nod to the difficult times we have all gone through last year. It feels understated at first and then ends with a nod to the viewer with a brief appearance by “3.5ths of NSYNC”.
“Stay Fabulous” – Resorts World Las Vegas
Resorts World Las Vegas, like other travel brands, is also banking on people getting up and travelling again and the ad makes no bones as to why Vegas is the place to visit. With appearances from Celine Dion, Katy Perry and Carrie Underwood it shows those potential travelers what is waiting for them.
“Certain Is Better”- Rocket Mortgage.
The ad features the actor and comedian, Tracy Morgan and has become one f the most popular ads of 2021. With humor, he navigates a family through many scenarios where “pretty sure” just won’t do.
“Your Cousin from Boston Gets Vaccinated”
This “your cousin from Boston” series of commercials has become really popular. The latest installment shows the iconic character going in for his Covid-19 vaccination and all does not go as planned.
“Drake from State Farm” – State Farm
This commercial premiered during the Super Bowl LV and features a new star, Jake as well as hosting a whole lot of other well-known faces. It is definitely a wake-up call to GEIGO and Progressive as it has great content.
“Jessice Long’s Story” – Toyota
This commercial is a tearjerker, and another Super Bowl commercial. The ad says nothing about what Toyota sells but focuses on Jessica Long’s story as a paraplegic swimmer. Toyota does sponsor the US Olympic Team and has made a very memorable and impressionable commercial.
“Wayne’s World and Cardi B’s Shameless Manipulation” – Uber Eats.
This ad promotes views to eat local featuring Mike Myers and Dana Carvey in their usual roles as Wayne and Garth. It also has rapper Cardi B making an appearance. A strange mix you may think, but it really works.-
