ZARA 50TH ANNIVERSARY As part of its 50th anniversary celebrations, Zara inaugurates a large kinetic installation in A Coruña created by artist Es Devlin The work responds to the energy of this historic Galician site – a rugged promontory that juts into the waves and weather systems of the atlantic ocean – marked by the broad reaching beams of the legendary unesco protected tower of hercules. Visitors will encounter 360 degree views from the observatory - poised between vistas that reach south towards the depths of Spain and Africa, east across Europe, and west across the atlantic towards the Americas. Within the observatory’s 25 metre diameter domed interior, 250 seats are set within 3 concentric revolving turntables. Visitors will rotate around one another, as they are inmersed in a visual installation that celebrates this milestone in Zara’s history, transmitted through poetry, dance, music and light. #ZARA50 #50SongsOfTheSea
