When I saw my pending bill was $70 a few weeks later, I called to dispute the charge. The following agent confirmed that I should get a discount, which will reflect the discount in a few days. To my surprise, my bill still says $70, and now when I call the agent, someone comes from India to pick it up and upgrade the ticket. My call was then forwarded to the manager who confirmed that I would not receive the $30 discount on my phone. To be sure, Xfinity has a slight advantage in speed tiers and introductory pricing, but what about after the promotion period? The Xfinity plan has a specific price increase after the initial lower rate -- $20 to $30 or more per month -- while the Frontier plan doesn't. That's not to say that Frontier won't raise prices at some point, but there's no guarantee that it will increase significantly over time.

This seems like a campaign aimed at educating more people that TMHI is in direct competition with Xfinity, since I don't think most people would think about switching ISPs very often. (or a cheap wireless option that might be as fast as wired internet) That said, if this commercial gets dropped from Comcast, I'd just like to put the transcript here; I can no longer use ad breaks (not that I'm ever a fan of them) to chop the story into pieces, haphazardly interrupting its flow with completely irrelevant content and making it harder to understand. But good shows that air on commercial TV are sometimes sold on DVD, so you can buy DVDs to watch ad-free shows. Or even later, they will be available for free to Netflix, Hulu+ or Amazon Prime (*) subscribers, to stream or rent on DVD. The shows I'm interested in usually release the entire season on DVD in a multi-disc box a few months after the season ends. It can also be purchased episode-by-episode from Amazon Prime Video the day after it airs.
