We went to the team behind the New All-Electric Explorer® SUV with some of the most frequently asked questions about the car. Many of the most popular topics centred around the vehicle’s battery technology and climate control.

From the heat pump, which warms the cabin and regulates battery temperature to optimise driving range; to heated seats; cabin preconditioning with FordPass; as well as other driver assistance and infotainment technologies – the Explorer team were keen to share their valuable insights for a deeper delve into the world of Explorer.

0:48 Yes and no. So we do have steering wheel heating, seat heating.
0:53 All those options are available, but seat cooling we don't have.
0:57 The seats are also coming with massage capability. I do use them a lot.

1:21 I just mention a couple. We have Lane Centering,***
1:24 that keeps you always in the middle of the lane.
1:28 We have Exit Warning.***
1:31 It detects an approaching vehicle like a cyclist,
1:34 and it provides a warning both to the occupants,
1:37 but also a visual signal in the mirror to the cyclist or approaching vehicle.
1:43 What kind of parking assistance is available?
1:46 A cool feature that I really like, you really have like stereo sound.
1:49 When you're too close to the right side,
1:51 you hear it on the right hand side that you’re basically too close,
1:54 but if you’re on the left hand side, it does the trick.
1:56 It helps you directly without thinking about it.
1:59 It helps you drive better and park easy.
2:01 Can you get the 360-degree view?
2:04 Yeah it does. So, you have like two things in the monitor in the centre.***
2:08 So, you can see the back or front with camera.
2:10 But you also have the 360-degree view from top of the vehicle.
2:14 What is the infotainment system?
2:16 Okay, that’s a very broad question, right. So, it is a very big portrait screen.
2:22 The operating system that we run on it,
2:25 we call it SYNC Move>> because of the movable screen that we have.^

2:31 So whether you have an AndroidTM phone or an AppleTM phone,
2:34 you have a like a top bar where it gives you quick access to things you need

2:40 Are there still normal physical controls for things like the climate control,
