またベゼルパーツの間に、ステンレス製の板バネやシリコーン等の緩衝体を備えることで強度を高めた新しい耐衝撃構造のマルチガードストラクチャーを開発しました。ケース、ベゼルには64チタンをベースとした高硬度のチタン素材を採用し、バンドには純チタンの約3倍の硬度を持ちながら加工性に優れたチタン合金「DAT55G」※1を採用。さらにベゼルトップには純チタンの約4倍の硬度を誇り、プラチナと同等の輝きを持つといわれるコバルトクロム合金「コバリオン」※2を採用しています。
MRG-B5000Bは、美しいミラー面を生み出す素材の特性を生かし鏡面仕上げを多用し、DLC(ダイヤモンドライクカーボン )コーティングを施すことでDW-5000Cから受け継ぐブラックカラーに輝きを加えました。MRG-B5000Dは、ヘアラインと鏡面仕上げを使い分け、チタンカーバイトのコーティングにより、美しいシルバーカラーに仕上げています。
両モデルともDW-5000Cのアイデンティティである、レンガパターンとレッドのサークルラインをダイアルに受け継いでいます。
機能面では、電波受信機能とBluetooth®通信機能によるスマートフォンとの連携に対応し、実用性も兼ね備えました。モジュールは回路押さえ板に金めっき仕上げを施し
た、MR-G専用モジュールを搭載しています。
