Set in a Love Island-style villa, the quirky video sees Alexandra go on a date with her beloved companion – with whom she spent lots of quality time with this summer in the villa – a Chicken & Mushroom Flavour Pot Noodle.
However, whilst on the date, she is seen to have her ‘head turned’ and dramatically re-couples with the new kid on the block, Pot Rice. As she sits down to enjoy her second date, she lovingly looks down at her Vegetable Curry Pot Rice and claims, ‘I always knew there was someone out there for me’ – a tongue-in-cheek reference to her being unlucky in love during the show.
Alexandra was widely regarded on social media for her noodle-based antics during her 19 days on the hit ITV2 show. Once home, Pot Noodle quickly reacted to her flirting with them on TV and across social media, by giving her a cheeky follow back and sliding in to her DMs. The courting stage was followed up by an array of gifts sent to Alexandra including; a Pot Noodle branded bikini, a branded Pot Noodle beach towel and a box of 19 of her favourite Chicken & Mushroom Flavour Pot Noodles – one for every day she was in the villa.
One thing led to another and a date (and an advertising campaign) ensued – with Alexandra choosing to couple up with the tasty newcomer instead, Pot Rice. According to Alexandra, the two are set for a bright future together.
Alexandra Cane, Love Island 2018 star, said: ‘As you saw from my time in the villa, my love for Pot Noodle (and now Pot Rice) runs deep! I’m so excited to be able to couple up with them – it’s my dream brand!’

The return of Pot Rice was kickstarted by a social media campaign where fans showed their support online with the hashtag #BringBackPotRice. After an overwhelming number of consumer posts and requests, Pot Noodle put the tasty and convenient snack back on shelves.
Andre Burger, Unilever Vice President Foods: UK & Ireland, said: ‘Like the rest of the nation, we really enjoyed seeing Alexandra’s relationship flourish with Pot Noodle on our screens this summer. We were even more pleased to see that after the show, the new Pot Rice flavours turned her head and that she hasn’t looked back since. We don’t think there’s a better pairing out there!’
