VIDEO Twix Chocolate Cherry Strudels TV commercial 2019 • Made with frozen prepared puff pastry and store-bought pie filling, these easy TWIX® strudels are the perfect little pastry dessert. Prep Time: 10 minutes Cook Time: 15 minutes Total Time: 25 minutes Makes: 12 servings Ingredients: 1 egg, lightly beaten 2 sheets pre-rolled sheet puff pastry (each about 10-inch square) 3/4 cup cherry pie filling 12 TWIX® Mini Chocolates 3/4 cup icing sugar 2 tbsp milk Instructions: 1. Preheat oven to 400°F. Beat together egg with 1 tbsp water; set aside. 2. On lightly floured surface, cut out twelve 3- x 5-inch rectangles from puff pastry (reserve remaining dough for another use). 3. Working with one puff pastry rectangle at a time and starting at short end, add 1 tbsp cherry pie filling to one half of pastry rectangle. Top with 1 TWIX® Mini Chocolate. Lightly brush edges of pastry with some of the egg wash; starting at remaining short end, fold pastry over filling to enclose. Press together edges of pastry; seal with tines of fork. 4. Score top of each pastry with 3 small slashes. Place on parchment paper–lined baking sheet. Brush top of pastry with some of the egg wash. Repeat with remaining pastry rectangles. 5. Bake for 15 to 20 minutes or until golden brown. Let cool completely. 6. Stir together icing sugar and milk; drizzle over top of strudels. Tips: • Substitute peach pie filling for cherry pie filling if desired. • Alternatively, simply dust strudels with icing sugar.
