This is Future73, a series of collaborations from six design and innovation leaders to reimagine the Original Timberland® Boot. Each collection celebrates 50 years of its heritage, while envisioning the future with a new take on the beloved icon.
The collective of Future Makers include: Edison Chen, Canadian-born Hong Kong actor turned creator and founder of streetwear and lifestyle brand CLOT; Samuel Ross, British designer and founder of A-COLD-WALL*; Suzanne Oude Hengel, Netherlands-based knit researcher and footwear innovator and founder of Knit In Motion; Nina Chanel Abney, Chicago-born, New York-based contemporary painter and artist; Humberto Leon, Los Angeles-based designer, retailer, creative director and restaurateur and Christopher Raeburn, British designer and founder of his own responsible fashion label, RAEBURN.
The Future73 capsule collections will release in a series of drops inspired by the Original Yellow Boot™️ from March through October 2023, accompanied by Future73 Sessions led by each Future Maker to share their vision and inspire the next generation of creative trailblazers.

0:10 about Innovation distorting shape and
0:12 form sometimes it's about deconstruction
0:14 and minimalism other times it's based
0:16 around abstracting what we already know
0:18 pushing the boundaries of what is
0:20 possible I mainly focus on that and I
0:22 very much like to see what the
0:24 technology can bring to the brands to me
0:27 Timberland stands for both function and
0:29 fashion and those are two Pinnacles that
0:33 I really harped on when I designed this
0:36 I see Timberland as being a universal
0:40 brand that appeals to many people and
0:42 through that I want to focus on the idea
0:45 of Versatility very influential
0:47 especially through my fandom of hip-hop
0:49 so you know getting to know and see how
0:52 they wore it and now being able to
0:54 create with them is a dream come true
0:56 for me so it's definitely their legacy
