VIDEO Timberland​ Shanel Campbell Talks Jimmy Choo x Timberland TV commercial 2022 • Shanel Campbell Talks Jimmy Choo x Timberland | Timberland #JIMMYCHOOXTIMBERLAND 🗽 A thank you and a tribute to the city of New York. ​ Following a successful partnership in 2020, we are thrilled to announce we have reunited with Jimmy Choo to launch a luxury footwear collection that redefines boot culture.​ ​ This exclusive collaboration sees the utilitarian style re-imagined through the elegant lens of Sandra Choi, the London-based creative director of Jimmy Choo, along with artist, designer and New York native Shanel Campbell. ​ Working in conjunction with Harlem’s Fashion Row, a premier agency that provides opportunities for emerging designers of color, Campbell’s work explores the Black Experience in America. Given the pivotal role ‘Timbs’ played in the emergence of a distinctive hip-hop aesthetic in the 1990’s, Shanel’s insight proved invaluable in recreating a cult classic.​ ​ 0:00 [Music] 0:04 foreign 0:09 collaborating with two Brands was like 0:13 one of the funnest things I've ever done 0:14 how do these Worlds Collide as like 0:17 independently like how does Jimmy Choo 0:19 collide with Timberland and then kind of 0:21 seeing like what my idea of what that 0:24 Collision would look like 0:24 [Music] 0:29 what drives me to experiment is just 0:33 time 0:35 um and the need to create even when 0:37 there's lack of resource when I find 0:39 that I'm doing sketches of fashion 0:40 collections but I don't have the 0:41 resources to do a Runway I'll start 0:43 painting or I'll start a drawing or 0:46 writing down music 0:48 as long as I'm getting things out of me 0:50 I'm always in a place of peace 0:52 [Music] 0:53 so I'm born and raised in the Bronx but 0:55 went to high school in Spanish Harlem 0:57 got my Master's at Parsons School of 0:59 Design 1:01 when I travel what I most appreciate 1:03 about coming back to New York 1:06 it's just that that sense of home that 1:08 sense of peace 1:10 it feels raw it feels real like you know 1:12 you can really you could be any type of 1:14 person in New York City which is 1:16 beautiful 1:17 um you can truly be yourself especially 1:19 going into the city around Union Square 1:20 is a lot of Vibes there's a lot of 1:22 energy there's a lot of inspiration just 1:24 from people who have interest in fashion 1:26 navigating the city in combination with 1:28 the suits you see and the people going 1:30 down the Wall Street 1:32 the most inspiring part of the city to 1:35 me is definitely the MTA the train 1:37 system just because it has had a huge 1:40 impact on my like my story in my life 1:43 just from taking it every day when I was 1:45 going to high school taking every day 1:47 going to my grad program I'm super 1:50 excited to see fellow New Yorkers 1:52 wearing the collection that's the thing 1:53 that I do as a New Yorker and just 1:55 people watching for inspiration seeing 1:57 moments where someone is wearing 1:58 something that I played a part in like I 2:01 don't know my job might be on the floor 2:04 my favorite part of the collaboration 2:06 process it was an amazing experience 2:08 collaborating with another woman in a 2:10 creative director role I'm always 2:12 inspired by women especially strong 2:14 independent women with distinct Styles 2:17 and distinct visions 2:18 I love seeing a woman in a leadership 2:20 role and I think I could always learn a 2:22 lot from women in those types of roles 2:24 and it's also inspiring because it's 2:26 like looking into the future that I want 2:28 to have one day 2:29 my dream client of course is Beyonce 2:31 like period She was on the inspiration 2:34 board for the collection 2:35 [Music] 2:36 yeah it's just a beautiful moment to see 2:38 like 2:40 all this work and like this year-long 2:42 projects manifest into these stunning 2:43 photos with people that I've been 2:45 following for a very long time 2:48 great Timberland​ actress 2022 • Timberland​ song name • - advertisement spot 2022
