Petfinder is the leading online resource for pet adoption, education, awareness and advocacy. It works to spread the word about the benefits of pet adoption and make it easy for people to match up with adoptable pets. Petfinder's searchable online animal database is updated daily and includes directories of nearly 13,000 animal shelters and adoption agencies in the United States, Canada and Mexico. Petfinder also includes a library of free pet care items to help keep pets at home. Since 1996, Petfinder has helped more than 25 million pets find their forever homes. Petfinder joined the Nestle Purina family in 2013.

You know how great your foster kitten is - but now you need to let potential adopters know! Advertising kittens is very similar to marketing. They want to help people feel a personal connection to animals and inspire them to take the next step. The best way to do this is to provide a great photo and a strong resume.
Don't worry about sharing your kitty in the wrong place and attracting the bad guys - the point is you cast a big net and weed the dirt to find the gems. There are great adopters out there, even on Craigslist, but you might have to poke through multiple requests to find the right one. Remember, you don't have to agree just because someone is applying for your kitten. So promote them as widely as possible so you can choose litter!
