1:45 when I was a kid and I noticed the brand
1:48 and made a connection he didn't realize
1:50 a relationship but I did you know for me
1:54 it became something to me and I started
1:56 following the brand I started buying
1:58 magazines just to see the ads
2:01 Tommy has always had this mentality of
2:05 diversity and inclusion this is back 80s
2:08 90s he has been doing this for a very
2:11 long time more than probably any other

2:17 know Clarence came in for the new Legacy
2:20 challenge which is where we allow a
2:23 number of different upcoming designers
2:25 to compete against each other and we
2:28 like to nurture that Talent we like to
2:30 keep them in the family and we like to
2:32 work with them on different projects
2:34 what do we think Clarence for our
2:36 partnership with Mercedes-Benz Formula 1
2:39 he was like let's do it I really want to
2:41 do it it's just going to be a great
2:43 storytelling moment a heartbeat moment

2:48 product once you start doing a
2:50 collaboration you get to know each other
2:52 you talk a lot and for me that adds a
2:55 lot more value and meaning to it get the
2:57 opportunity to work with Mercedes

3:06 needed Formula 1 is now one of the most
3:09 important sports in the world

3:14 personalities the
3:16 drama the excitement and the energy
3:19 behind any one of the races is
3:24 infectious Tommy and Mercedes are at the
3:27 Forefront of pushing the boundaries when
3:29 it comes to and I it is not only making
3:32 the uniforms for the teams but it's
3:34 making fashion it's incredibly creative
