VIDEO Cirque du Soleil Finding Home with LUZIA | Nelson's Story: Episode 2 | In Partnership with realtor.com TV commercial 2019 • 00:00 It was something that I always did. 00:01 Like, at school, I was always getting into trouble for doing flips. 00:04 I was always doing flips at home; 00:05 I was doing flips wherever I could, really. 00:07 And then one day, my best mate Beckham 00:10 came and asked me if I wanted to audition for the circus school 00:13 and that’s how it all sort of started. 00:14 I’m Nelson Smiles, I’m an acrobat on Cirque du Soleil’s LUZIA. 00:21 As an acrobat, they’re changing cities every 7 weeks or something like this, 00:25 so you have to have something small to remind you of home. 00:29 You miss the beach, 00:30 you miss that easy access to a nice day by the pool, 00:33 by the water, by the waves. 00:36 I get to do it with my best friends every day, 00:38 it’s one of the greatest things. 00:40 They make me laugh on stage, off stage, all the time. 00:42 They’re a delight to be around. 00:44 Before every show, we’ve got a little handshake that we do 00:47 that actually my brother showed me, and I thought it was kind of cool 00:50 because it had a little bit of a bird in it, 00:51 so I showed them and now we do it every show. 00:53 My birthday is in the middle of summer in Australia, 00:56 so it’s always boiling hot. 00:57 So all of my friends would come around, we’d spend the whole day by the pool 01:00 trying new dives and flips into the water. 01:02 The things I’ll be looking for when I’m buying a house… 01:04 It doesn’t matter if it’s big, it doesn’t matter if it’s small, 01:06 just as long as it has a big old pool, 01:08 huge backyard for me to do flips in, party with my friends… 01:11 That’s perfect. 01:14 Anytime, anytime if there’s a pool 01:16 I’m doing as many flips into it as possible. 01:19 At the end of the day, home for me is somewhere 01:21 where you can express yourself freely 01:22 doing what you love with the people that you love. - advertisement spot 2019
