This month we’re not just going Dutch, we’re going Double Dutch as we explore some of our favourite brewers from the Netherlands!

First up we have Swinckels Superior Pilsner. This thirst-quenching, full-malt pilsner is brewed with Cascade hops from the Yakima Valley in the USA and Polaris hops. You can expect a rich, clear beer with spicy and fruity notes, a soft aftertaste and refined bitterness.

From Amsterdam’s Oedipus, we have a witbier that blends a historical base with the energy of their modern neighbourhood. Strip is brewed with a blend of yeasts for vinous notes which are backed up by citrusy flavours and some tartness from the hops and citrus peel. A lovely beer for sunny weather!

For those of you subscribed to the light box, we have some real treats including Kia Ora by Frontaal. This New Zealand IPA is packed with tropical fruit flavours such as papaya and passionfruit from the hops. To add some complexity these lush flavours are backed by notes of lime juice, orange zest and even a little white grape. The end result is a gorgeous beer!

We also have Out In The Fields by Kees. This beer is a modern take on the classic West Coast IPA with a fantastic combination of hops. Simcoe is used as a late stage addition, Centennial is added during the whirlpool, and Amarillo is added as part of dry hopping along with more Simcoe hops. Definitely one for the hop heads!

Don’t worry dark beer fans, we’ve got you covered in the mixed box with offerings such as Flat White by Two Chefs Brewing. Rich and robust, this espresso milk stout boasts a complex malt bill, leading to flavours of chocolate, biscuit, caramel and roasted malt. A late addition of freshly roasted coffee highlights the coffee flavours already present in the stout, while a lactose addition provides sweetness.

De Molen bring a robust porter to the box in Hamer and Sikkel! You can expect notes of chocolate, coffee and wood flavours finishing in a soft but intense bitterness. This beer is full of roasted and malty character. A beer for the people!

If your regular box just isn’t enough, we have plenty to look forward to in our upgraded selections! 10 pack subscribers should keep an eye out for Wisse Weizen from Poesiat & Kater. This is a classic hefeweizen with a kaffir lime twist. This beer strikes a lovely balance between malty sweetness and a touch of bitterness.
For the 12 pack subscribers, we have a tall boy can of hazy IPA from Moersleutel. Flavours of peach, white grape and lychee lead the way in this well rounded beer backed with a soft bitterness to provide a balanced palette. The perfect beer for a spring afternoon!
