How HighVoltage Works in Marvel Snap
- HighVoltage differs from both regular Ranked and Conquest mode in a few key ways:
- There's no snapping
- There are only 3 turns
- You start with 2 cards and draw 2 cards each turn
- Each turn, both players will receive 2-5 Max Energy - this is the same for both players
- This Max Energy stacks, meaning you'll have 6-15 extra Energy total on the final turn
- Certain location cards are banned (Black Widow, Galactus, Magik)
If you lose a match, you don't go down in any sort of rank. Instead, if you win, you earn Volts, which advances the High Voltage reward track in Marvel Snap. Additionally, there are High Voltage missions that refresh like normal missions every 8 hours.
As a result, risky decks with high rewards are the way to go with High Voltage, as you lose nothing by being defeated. This, in turn, makes certain cards much better than others. Plus, you don't want to have a lot of cheap cards, as you start the game with at least 3 energy.
Agony is the reward card for the first iteration of High Voltage.
The Best High Voltage Decks in Marvel Snap With so much more energy and fewer turns, you better believe that greedy combo decks are the way to go in High Voltage. Going with a standard discard or destruction deck is not the play here. As such, here are two decks that will guarantee you enough wins to get all the rewards: Jeff!
Morph Nocturne Super Skrull Wong Iron Lad Iron Man White Tiger Namora Onslaught Odin The Living Tribunal "The only Series 5 card really required on this list is Namora, as she forms the lynchpin of how this deck works. Otherwise, Jeff! is replaced by Nightcrawler, Nocturne from something like Copycat, and Iron Lad from Jubilee."
This deck has two simple win conditions: build a lane with Iron Man, Onslaught, and The Living Tribunal to spread massive power across all three lanes. Otherwise, you'll want to try to put Wong, Onslaught, and Namora in one lane to power up a lot of cards like Jeff and Nocturne in the other two. Sometimes, both strategies merge into one and you reach insane numbers. Super Skrull is a great tech card that counters opposing decks of a similar type.
However, some decks use counter cards like Cosmo and Enchantress, so just fold if you get any of those. Alternate versions of this deck use Black Panther and try to reach new heights with it; consider using that type of list instead if you don't have Namora.
This is a neck list more of a control counter deck that ruined my day more than a couple of times while playing High Voltage in Marvel Snap, as it seems to basically nullify your opponent's massive plays. However, it is loaded with five Series 5 cards. Check them out: Sunspot Ebony Maw Shadow King Electro Viper Shang-Chi War Machine Misery Doctor Doom Odin Alioth The Infinaut Series 5 cards in this list are War Machine, Misery, and Alioth, all of which are somewhat expensive. Alioth can be replaced by another six-mana card; War Machine is pretty essential here, though. Switch Misery with Enchantress if you don't have it.
With this deck, you don't play Electro to have more mana; you combine it with Viper to take away from your opponent's ability to play more than one card per turn. This also works against the Super Skrulls rivals - of which there are many. Otherwise, you'll want to win with Odin against Doctor Doom or counter the massive Black Panthers with Shang-Chi or Shadow King. War Machine and Misery are great to pair with Electro if you don't have Viper handy. The former also lets you play The Infinaut without skipping a previous turn.
