All Dendro Elemental Reactions and Combos in Genshin Impact

Elemental Reactions create an important part of Genshin Impact, as most status effects and damage types are thrown out through the elemental chain or elemental combinations. A good understanding of element interaction will help show a more effective team composition or build. A few elementary reactions, such as Burgeon or Bloom, go a long way toward improving your game. Every character has a kit, but there are some specialized in a few specific reactions, while others are a bit more universal. As a good example, Kinich is a great main for Burgeon combos due to how their Dendro abilities play, while Raiden Shogun can trigger different Electro-based reactions, including Hyperbloom.

Dendro Resonance

Note the count and combinations of elements in your team. Certain combinations create particularly effective elemental strategies. A good example would be having at least two Dendro characters for the Sprawling Greenery resonance, which increases Elemental Mastery by 50 and adds additional Elemental Mastery bonuses to triggering specific reactions like Burning, Quicken, Bloom, Aggravate, Spread, Hyperbloom, or Burgeon.

How to Trigger All Dendro Elemental Reactions and Combos in Genshin Impact

Elemental Reactions have a tendency to have an activation sequence. Mastering this will be crucial in developing solid team rotations. For the purpose of building your team composition, consider the following:

Burning (Dendro + Pyro)

Burning can be considered one of the more simple Dendro reactions. Its activation consists of simply applying Dendro on an enemy and following up with Pyro, or vice versa. Burning applies continuous Pyro damage, as if fire had spread to the dry grass.

Bloom (Dendro + Hydro)

Genshin Impact has some very complicated Elemental Reactions, including the likes of Burgeon and Hyperbloom, that would need very specific element combinations to occur. For these below reactions, create Dendro Cores by combining Hydro and Dendro. You are only allowed to keep five Dendro Cores at any one time. The sixth core makes the oldest one explode and deals damage based on the character that triggered it.

Dendro Cores can be used to create:

Applying Electro to Dendro Cores will create projectiles that deal Dendro damage called Sprawling Shots-Hyperbloom. The damage will scale from the Electro character. Burgeon: When Pyro is applied to Dendro Cores, they explode in a burst of AoE Dendro damage. To maximize this, Pyro can be cast near multiple Dendro Cores to create a chain reaction. The damage scales from the Pyro character.

Catalyze - Quicken (Dendro + Electro)

The reaction Catalyze applies a Quicken Aura to enemies, caused by combining Dendro and Electro. You can recognize this visually from the flash of green lightning and glowing leaves.

Further reactions that can occur off of Catalyze include:

Aggravate: Quicken + Electro; adding more Electro amps your Electro damage against that enemy.

Spread: Quicken + Dendro; adding more Dendro to an enemy suffering from the Quicken Aura amplifies your Dendro damage.

For sustaining these, continuously apply Dendro and Electro to the enemy. And to further increase the reaction damage, you can invest in your character's Elemental Mastery first, especially the ones triggering the reaction. Such examples include Collei for the application of Dendro and Bennett for reactions like Burning or Burgeon.
