How to Beat Wrathful Book & Shouting Tiaras in Persona 3 Reload Episode Aigis

Like its predecessor, Persona 3 Reload contains several boss battles that crop up every now and again to block progress in the game. It is mentioned that bosses appear every few floors and are significantly harder compared to those in the base game, showcasing just how much more challenging the DLC truly is.

Enemy formations are much more varied in Episode Aigis, with the majority of battles featuring mixed compositions and demanding that players adjust with customized battle strategies. Even the most lowly of grunts utilized buffs and debuffs to gain the upper hand in battles. The Wrathful Book & Shouting Tiaras is the first boss in this new DLC, and taking them down demands a modicum of strategy and finesse.

Wrathful Book & Shouting Tiaras Weaknesses In Episode Aigis

The Wrathful Book is the main villain of this encounter. Compared to the Shouting Tiaras, the Wrathful Book has much more health and power. The elemental affinities of the Wrathful Book include:

The Shouting Tiaras are somewhat easier to handle. During the fight, it is best that Shouting Tiaras be defeated first to lighten the amount of incoming attacks. Its elemental affinities include:

Best Personas & Party

Before engaging the Wrathful Book & Shouting Tiaras, revisit the Velvet Room and combine Lamia. This Persona innately has Agilao, a second tier Fire spell that will be able to take advantage of the Wrathful Book's weakness. Aigis delivers most of the damage against the Wrathful Book so she should stick with Lamia always but for one turn to use a Fusion Spell.

For added insurance, combine Principality and Power to give Aigis the Fusion Spell Justice, which hits all enemies for medium pierce damage with a high critical hit rate. Adding Metis' Tarukaja will make this especially lethal to the Shouting Tiaras, potentially taking them out in one spell.

The best party setup for this fight is Metis, Yukari, and then whomever else you like. You can include Akihiko if you so prefer, but it's not needed, especially if you want to spend the time leveling up your other party members for later battles. If you are using him, then he is supplementary damage against the boss, but will probably not compare in the slightest to the combined force of Metis, Yukari, and Aigis.

How to Beat The Vengeful Book & Shouting Tiaras

Enter the battle with Aigis's Therugy full so that Justice can be used immediately. This highly potent Fusion Spell can deal a considerable amount of damage, and possibly even wipe out at least one opponent, which is good in setting up a Shift chain and an All-Out Attack. Meanwhile, Metis can work on the weakness of the Shouting Tiaras as Aigis takes care of the Vengeful Book.

The Wrathful Book can use Tetrakarn to deflect incoming Physical attacks. In order to counter this, keep the pressure of magic-based attacks on throughout the fight, rendering Tetrakarn useless.

The Shouting Tiaras will also use Provoke which will give Rage to party members. Yukari should prioritize healing the Rage over any healing, since one missed attack from Tetrakarn can result in a very punishing result.

This approach concerns targeting weaknesses to make the duration of Rage as short as possible; such a plan is going to weaken the boss's offense pretty effectively. But in order to defeat it completely, one needs to overcome its items-the Wrathful Book & Shouting Tiaras. A good strategy emphasizing offense coupled with defense will pay off in the end.
