How to use Google Sheets Slicer?

Prerequisites:

An existing Google Sheet containing a chart or table (Slicers work with both).

Steps:

Data Selection:

Open your Google Sheet and navigate to the table or chart you wish to filter.

Adding a Slicer:

Click on the chart or table to ensure it's active.

Navigate to the top menu bar and select Data > Add a slicer.

Specifying the Filter Column:

A slicer pane will appear on the right side of the sheet (or a black rectangle box on the sheet itself).

Within the pane, locate the designated area and choose the data column you intend to filter by.

Filtering Data:

Click directly on the slicer box (or pane).

Two filtering methods are available:

Filter by Condition: Expand the "Filter by condition" section and select the desired criteria for filtering your data.

Filter by Values: Expand the "Filter by values" section and choose specific values to include in your filtered view.

Once you've established your filtering criteria, click OK to confirm and apply the filter.

Customization (Optional):

The right-hand pane offers a Customize tab (if applicable). This tab allows you to tailor the appearance of your slicer by adjusting font styles, sizes, title formatting, and color schemes to match your spreadsheet's overall design.

Slicers can be freely positioned on your spreadsheet for optimal visual organization.
