John Wick is an American action movie series starring Keanu Reeves as the titular character. The first movie was released in 2014. Since then, it has become an incredibly successful franchise, with three sequels released so far. The fourth installment of the series, John Wick Chapter 4, was recently released in May 2021.

The fourth installment of the John Wick series had fans on the edge of their seats. After a long and intense battle with the blind hitman Caine, John Wick is critically injured and left for dead. Despite the evidence of John Wick’s death, some fans have speculated that he could have faked his death in order to retire from the hitman lifestyle. The theory suggests that Wick only fainted due to the heavy loss of blood, and that he was taken away by Winston to be taken care of.

Though John Wick 5 has not been officially confirmed yet, there has been speculation that the movie will eventually be made. If it does come to fruition, it should answer any questions people may have about Wick's death in chapter 4. 

It is confirmed that John Wick has truly passed away. After an intense and bloody confrontation with the blind hitman Caine, Wick suffered mortal wounds and died on the steps of the Sacré-Cœur in Paris, with memories of his beloved wife Helen with him in his last moments. Afterwards, Winston brought his body back to New York to be laid to rest beside his wife.  Though there is speculation that Wick might not be truly gone. It has been suggested that he could have only fainted due to the heavy loss of blood, and that he faked his death so he could retire from the violent lifestyle he was so accustomed to living. If John Wick 5 does eventually come to fruition, it should bring an answer to any doubts people may have about Wick's death in Chapter 4.
